Prediction: Jalen Johnson Over 24.5 Points (-104 on BETMGM Sportsbook) 

Jalen Johnson has been one of the best players in the league, despite the lack of recognition. He is the unquestioned star of the Atlanta Hawks and the center of everything they do. That is why he’s averaging almost a triple-double per game this season. Today’s best bet focuses on the point line in the early match.

Johnson has scored over 24.5 points in two of his last three games, and he has a great opportunity to do it once again with the Indiana Pacers. The Pacers allow 118.2  points per game, and the Hawks are on a two-game win streak. They are tenth in the Eastern Conference, and only 2.0 games behind ninth place. 

Johnson doesn’t have to be the leading scorer for them to win this match, but he is paired up against Pascal Siakam. The Cleveland Cavaliers and Orlando Magic are two teams that have underperformed this season. The Cavaliers are attempting to turn it around and are on a three-game win streak. They have also won seven of their last ten games, and are trying to climb back into the top four of the Eastern Conference. They must keep winning to do so.

The Magic have lost three in a row and six of their last ten matches. They need a win more than the Cavaliers. The issue with both teams this year is that they went away from their identity last year. Defense. They both need to focus on what their rosters are built around. Cleveland has the reigning defensive player of the year, and Orlando is healthy enough to lock down opposing teams' frontcourt players.

This is the first nationally televised match today, and it’s a great game for a defensive display. Put a unit on the best bet of under 227.5 points, and expect both defenses to do well.
