Meatloaf for back-to-back days! The Boston Celtics were unable to win against the Indiana Pacers due to a game-winning field goal by Pascal Siakam. The moneyline was not covered; forget about the -6.0 spread being a possibility. The Dallas Mavericks outscored the Brooklyn Nets in the first half, but the Nets surged in the third quarter. However, Dallas put the game away and secured the moneyline best bet with a 113 - 105 victory.

The Los Angeles Clippers and Charlotte Hornets match was closer than some may have anticipated. Thank goodness the best bet was on Ivica Zubac to record over 10.5 rebounds. He logged 10 before halftime and got off the hook in the second half. Proving once again that, ‘Two out of three ain’t bad’.

These short slate games this week can make navigating a daily fantasy basketball lineup difficult. There are two nationally televised games today, and the first best bet comes from the first game of the doubleheader on Peacock.

NBA Best Bets Today, 1/13: Picks, Predictions & Player Props - Tuesday

San Antonio Spurs vs Oklahoma City Thunder: Tuesday 1/13

Game Time: 8:00 PM ET | TV: NBC Peacock | Location: Paycom Center | Odds: OKC -7.5 | O/U 229.5

Some teams are just bad matchups for certain teams. That is the case with the Oklahoma City Thunder and San Antonio Spurs. The Thunder have five losses this season, and three of them have come against San Antonio. Now they square off for the fourth time this season, and this time at Oklahoma City. Will it be more of the same? The expectation is for it to remain so.

The first and second-place teams in the Western Conference battle it out on national television, and it should be a great game. The Thunder have looked untouchable, but can not get over what has become their rival. Both of these teams could be the representatives of the Western Conference in the Championship. This game will have a playoff-like atmosphere, which should bode well for the Spurs' spread.

Oklahoma City has not played well in 2026 and has had difficulty covering spreads. The fact that San Antonio has such a high spread is a bit odd. The plan is to take advantage of it. Put a unit on the best bet of San Antonio covering the spread regardless of who is in or out of the lineup.

Portland Trail Blazers vs Golden State Warriors: Tuesday 1/13

Game Time: 11:00 PM ET | TV: NBC Peacock | Location: Chase Center | Odds: GS -9.5 | O/U 224.5

The Golden State Warriors host the Portland Trail Blazers in a battle of the Northwest. The Warriors come into the match as heavy favorites, as high as 10.5 on some sportsbooks. The expectation for this column is that Portland will cover the spread on the road. However, taking the spread without the juice is the recommendation, and at +9.5, the odds are almost even.

Portland is dealing with injuries, but the Warriors are dealing with old age. Stephen Curry, Draymond Green, and Jimmy Butler have not completed that many games as a unit together. They will have issues with Portland’s frontcourt as the Trail Blazers are bigger, younger, and have more depth. Donovan Clingan is still waiting for a breakout game on national television, and this could be it.

Stephen Curry is always a risk to score several points, but Portland has been playing well. They have won seven of their last ten games, and even without Deni Avdija, Donovan Clingan and Robert Williams are too much for Golden State’s old front court. Add in Jrue Holiday, Toumani Camara, and Shaedon Sharpe in the backcourt, and Portland could win this match. However, the spread is the best bet, and the one advised today. Put a unit on it at near even odds on BETMGM.

NBA Prop Bet Today, 1/13

The Phoenix Suns travel to South Beach to play the Miami Heat. It is the first tipoff today, and at -1.5 is the closest spread. Instead of taking a 50/50 chance on the spread or moneyline, a player proposition is proposed. It will be the over on Royce O’Neale’s rebounding line of 5.5.

O’Neale has rewarded the Suns with steady play and production. His role has expanded with the departure of Kevin Durant, and he is a key part of their turnaround. He is averaging 29.4 minutes per game and has recorded six or more rebounds in five consecutive games. His average is 5.1 per game this season, but he has been aggressively pursuing defensive rebounds.

The Suns were able to rest their starters for most of the fourth quarter against the Washington Wizards in their most recent game. They should be well rested for today’s match, and that will benefit O’Neale. The Heat are constantly rotating injured players. Meanwhile, O’Neale has played in every Phoenix game this season. He is well-conditioned and hardened from the physicality of being a forward in the NBA. Put a unit on his plus odds best bet of over 5.5 rebounds.
