We’re coming off a weekend where the stars showed out, but tonight, we’re digging into the trenches. We’re looking at usage spikes, decimated rosters, and some frontcourt mismatches that look like absolute gifts from the oddsmakers. Let’s dive into my favorite plays for tonight’s NBA action!

 

New York Knicks vs. Los Angeles Clippers Predictions - Karl-Anthony Towns Over 18.5 Points 

It feels like the market hasn't fully adjusted to "KAT" finding his rhythm again. After a bit of a mid-season lull, the scoring is starting to come back around in a big way. Towns is averaging 19.7 points per game over his last 10 outings, and the efficiency is ticking upward. The matchup tonight is the real kicker. Since the trade deadline move that sent Ivica Zubac packing, the Clippers' frontcourt has been a revolving door of "good luck with that." They’re rolling out a combination of Brook Lopez and Isaiah Jackson, neither of whom has the lateral quickness to stay with Towns when he’s stepping out to the perimeter or attacking off the bounce. KAT is coming off a 25 point performance against the Lakers and dropped 21 on Toronto just a few games ago. This number is too low for a guy with his ceiling in this matchup.

Philadelphia 76ers vs. Cleveland Cavaliers Predictions - Kelly Oubre Over 18.5 Points 

Listen, someone has to shoot the ball in Philly. The 76ers' injury report looks like a CVS receipt: no Tyrese Maxey, no Joel Embiid, no VJ Edgecomb, and no Paul George. We are looking at a "Last Man Standing" situation, and Kelly Oubre is more than happy to be that man. Oubre has cleared this 18.5 mark in two of his last three games, and with the current active roster, his usage rate is through the roof. We’re projected to see him on the floor for 35+ minutes tonight. When Oubre gets this kind of volume, he’s not shy. Expect 15 to 20 field goal attempts easily. Ride the volume.

Philadelphia 76ers vs. Cleveland Cavaliers Predictions - Quentin Grimes Over 19.5 Points 

Sticking in Philadelphia, we’re doubling down on the "Who else is left?" narrative. Quentin Grimes has turned into a usage monster by default. In their last outing, Grimes logged 41 minutes in regulation. You simply don't see that kind of floor time often in the modern NBA unless a player is vital to the scheme. With the stars sidelined, Grimes is operating as a primary scoring option. His ability to knock down the triple combined with more opportunities to get to the rim makes this 19.5 line very attackable. If he's playing 40 minutes again, he could sleepwalk into 20 points.

 

Brooklyn Nets vs. Memphis Grizzlies Predictions - Ziaire Williams Over 11.5 Points 

Ziaire Williams is playing some of the most confident basketball of his career right now. He has notched 15+ points in three straight games, yet the books are still giving us a line near the double-digit mark. Brooklyn is dealing with its own depth issues, missing Michael Porter and Egor Demin, which has opened the door for Williams to assert himself. He’s sporting a 20%+ usage rate over his last three games and, more importantly, he’s found his stroke from deep, shooting 9/17 from three-point range in that span. At 11.5, we are getting great value on a player with the "green light."

Utah Jazz vs. Golden State Warriors Predictions - Kyle Filipowski Over 8.5 Rebounds

 "Flip" is making a serious impact in the Jazz frontcourt lately. The sophomore has been a monster on the glass, recording 11+ rebounds in three straight games. This isn't just luck, either; the hustle stats back it up. He’s averaging 13.6 rebound chances over his last five games. With the Jazz leaning into their youth movement, Filipowski should see 30+ minutes tonight. He’s active, he’s got great positioning, and he’s facing a frontcourt that struggles to box out consistently. I’m riding the hot hand here until the books move this up to 9.5 or 10.5.
