When looking at the board of MLB player props on Underdog Fantasy for Monday, June 6, a couple of players jump off the board on a small slate of Major League Baseball action. George Springer gets a great matchup against Daniel Lynch as he and the Toronto Blue Jays will be popular MLB DFS top plays this evening. Cincinnati Reds rookie phenom Hunter Greene gets a favorable matchup against an Arizona Diamondbacks offense that I love to attack with talented pitchers. Greene could also be popular in MLB daily fantasy lineups and he made an appearance in today's MLB DFS Value Vault. Before locking in these MLB player props, be sure to check out the latest MLB weather report and the MLB lineups. Plus, check out the MLB daily projections and the latest fantasy baseball news to get ahead of the competition. Now let's look at my favorite MLB player props over on Underdog Fantasy for Monday, June 6.

MLB Player Props Underdog Fantasy June 6

George Springer - OVER 1.5 Total Bases

Springer is hitting .304 over his last 15 games and he’s in the midst of a five-game hit streak where he has three multi-hit efforts and three or more total bases in four of the five contests. Springer has a .914 OPS on the road this season, and he’s punished southpaws in 2022, hitting .345 with a 1.114 OPS. Kansas City’s Daniel Lynch has a 4.61 ERA in three home starts this season, and righties have a .344 wOBA against him. Toronto has the highest implied runs scored on today’s slate, so why not get the guy at the top of the lineup?

Hunter Greene - OVER 6.5 Strikeouts

You never know how deep Greene will make it into a start, but his stuff allows him to rack up strikeouts in bunches. Greene has at least six strikeouts in all but one start this season, and his arsenal figures to wreak havoc on a weak Arizona lineup. Here’s what you need to know about the Diamondbacks and its strikeout woes:

  • The Diamondbacks have the eighth-highest strikeout rate over the last 14 days at 23.7 percent.
  • The Diamondbacks have the fourth-highest strikeout rate on the road this year at a whopping 26.2 percent.
  • The Diamondbacks have the third-highest strikeout rate versus right-handers this year, coming in at 25 percent.

It’s very, very possible that Greene exceeds this mark by the end of the fourth inning. We'll need to keep an eye on the weather, however, as there is a PPD risk for this contest.
