Over at Underdog Fantasy, there are a wealth of MLB player props today that we are going to look at en route to a profitable evening. There’s a game at Coors Field, and we all know what that means for our MLB DFS lineups. Is it crazy to think that there is a pitcher strikeout prop that has caught my eye with the Colorado Rockies? I don’t think it is! We are going to also take advantage of the strikeout-prone Miami Marlins, as San Francisco Giants pitcher Alex Wood has some opportune home/road splits that fare well for him this evening. Lastly, Andrew McCutchen is stuck in a prolonged slump, so we are going to look at an under with him in tonight’s game against Sean Manaea and the San Diego Padres. I even added two other MLB player prop leans at the bottom of the article in case you want to sell out for a big multiplier or are looking for other daily fantasy baseball lineup picks. As always, be sure to check out the latest MLB weather report and the MLB lineups before submitting your picks. Plus, check out today's MLB daily projections and the latest MLB news. Here are my favorite MLB player props for Thursday, June 2nd over on Underdog Fantasy.

MLB Player Props Underdog Fantasy June 2

Alex Wood, San Francisco Giants SP – OVER 5.5 Strikeouts

Alex Wood hasn’t been dominant by any means this season, but he’s an interesting play when on the road. His 3.91 ERA on the road far exceeds his putrid 6.11 ERA at home. Furthermore, on the road this season, he has a 9.95 K/9 and 27.2 percent strikeout rate – compared to an 8.66 K/9 and 19.5 percent strikeout rate at home. Wood has at least five strikeouts in every road start this season, and now he gets to face a Miami squad that has the league’s highest strikeout rate against southpaws at 29.7 percent. I really like the over for the San Francisco lefty this evening.

Austin Gomber, Colorado Rockies SP – OVER 4 Strikeouts

It’s hard to ignore some of the numbers here, but it’s also hard to ignore rooting for a pitcher at Coors Field – a park that just had 40 total runs scored in two games yesterday let me mind you. However, Atlanta strikes out a ton, and this line of four strikeouts is ripe for the taking. Atlanta has the third-highest strikeout rate against lefties this year at 26 percent. No team has punched out more over the last two weeks than the Atlanta Braves. Gomber had just 15 strikeouts in the month of May, which is likely why this line is a bit lower than it normally would be. However, four of his last five starts have come against the Nationals, Giants, Royals, and Mets – and these teams rank 30th, 16th, 27th, and 18th in strikeout rate against lefties in 2022. Again, Atlanta has the third-highest mark. Dating back to last season, Gomber has been far better at home, posting a 2.78 ERA at Coors Field and a 6.41 ERA away from Coors.

Andrew McCutchen, Milwaukee Brewers OF – UNDER 0.5 Runs

I typically don’t like these lines when it comes to runs, but I’ll bite here. McCutchen is mired in a 2-for-31 slump and he’s hitting lefties at just a .196 clip with a .224 OBP and .615 OPS. He’s 0-for-5 in his career against Manaea, and the Padres pitcher has a 3.31 ERA and 0.92 WHIP on the road this season. Howard Bender likes the under in this matchup, as mentioned in the Discord channel for his best bets of the day. Even if Cutch were to get on base, the Brewers rank in the bottom third in the MLB in wOBA and wRC+ against southpaws.
