We begin tonight with an 11-game MLB DFS main slate after a rainout in New York. With rain in the forecast in Baltimore, there might be some more attrition, so keep an eye on the latest MLB weather report updates. With the Rockies at home tonight, Coors Field also enters into the equation which gives us another variable to work with in our daily fantasy baseball lineups. Regardless of that, there are plenty of exciting options to choose from when setting your MLB DFS lineups. It is quite important to stay up to date on the latest MLB news, MLB lineups, and MLB Vegas Odds leading up to lineup lock. Plus, check out MLB daily projections before setting those MLB daily fantasy lineups. Now, let us take a look at some MLB DFS value picks and top plays for Tuesday, September 6.

MLB DFS Value Pitchers

Tyler Anderson (LAD) – DraftKings - $8,100; Yahoo - $40

Anderson continues to turn in solid outings for the Dodgers as he has pitched seven innings in three of his last five starts. With 13 victories this season, the southpaw gives us one of the better chances at a win tonight out of any of the pitchers on tonight’s slate as he benefits both from the Dodgers’ offense and their bullpen as well as his own pitching success. The one issue here is that Anderson only strikes out about seven batters per nine innings but it is also quite difficult to argue with a 2.68 ERA (3.18 xERA) as well as a 1.02 WHIP. With just a 5.3% barrel-rate and 29.9% hard-hit rate against Anderson, it is clear that opposing hitters are struggling to square up the left-hander.

Eduardo Rodriguez (DET) – DraftKings - $7,400; FanDuel - $7,900; Yahoo - $37

After two strong outings upon his return in which Rodriguez allowed just one earned run over 11 innings, the southpaw ran into trouble in his last start as he gave up two home runs (five earned in total) against the Mariners. In his first start after missing three months of action, Rodriguez faced the same Angels he takes on tonight and he shut them out over five innings while striking out five. A similar outing tonight, even if he does not pick up the victory, should bring Rodriguez in somewhere around the 15 DK point mark and the left-hander also provides a little better of a floor than a lot of the other cheaper options tonight.

MLB DFS Value Hitters

Rowdy Tellez, 1B (MIL) – DraftKings - $4,200; FanDuel - $3,100; Yahoo - $17

Tellez is a power hitter and run producer who has no issues driving the ball and it shows in his 28 home runs and 76 RBI to this point in 2022. Yes, Tellez is hitting .231, but that is production we certainly are not against from a DFS perspective. Out of Tellez’s 28 home runs, 24 have come against right-handed pitching so that puts him squarely on the radar for tonight as not only does Chad Kuhl not intimidate us, but the first baseman gets to hit in Coors Field tonight. That part cannot be understated even though Tellez’s price might not necessarily reflect that.

Michael Toglia, 1B/OF (COL) – DraftKings - $2,700; FanDuel - $2,800; Yahoo - $16

Brandon Woodruff should not be taken lightly from a pitching perspective, but he does allow 1.1 home runs per nine innings this season and Coors Field is always going to be a factor. We get the newly promoted Toglia quite cheap tonight. He is 26 plate appearances into his major league career (.250 with one home run and three RBI), but it is his 30 minor league home runs this season through 114 games that have grabbed our attention.

Riley Greene, OF (DET) – DraftKings - $3,500; FanDuel - $3,300; Yahoo - $15

While Greene’s price has increased as of late, I would still consider it to be a bargain. In Greene’s last 10 games, the rookie is hitting .341 with one home run, five RBI, and eight runs scored. Considering the expectations, we had for him entering the season, Greene’s success should not come as a surprise as Detroit continues to plug him in at the top of the order. The fact that Mike Mayers is taking the mound for the Angels tonight also does not hurt.

J.J. Matijevic, 1B/OF (HOU) – DraftKings - $2,200; FanDuel - $2,000; Yahoo - $7

Stacking Astros bats against Glenn Otto and his 4.82 ERA tonight should certainly be on your radar and Matijevic provides us with a cheap piece of that stack. Matijevic has the platoon advantage against Otto and batting seventh in a deep Astros’ lineup should put him in position to be a run producer tonight and he also has the ability to go deep after hitting 14 home runs in 53 games at Triple-A this season.
