While we never have true uniformity across the MLB DFS main slate, tonight is as close as it gets when building daily fantasy baseball lineups. DraftKings offers a 13-game slate while FanDuel and Yahoo exclude the second game of the day between Minnesota and Detroit. At any rate, we have plenty of MLB DFS top picks for tonight's action – and the focus here is on some value-priced options. Before you finalize your MLB daily fantasy baseball lineups, check out those MLB starting lineups along with the MLB weather report. Follow along with the latest MLB news and let’s win some money. The weather is especially important, as the forecast at Coors Field in Colorado is less than promising. Now, let's look at some reasonably priced MLB DFS top plays for Tuesday, May 31st as you build daily fantasy baseball lineups.

MLB DFS Value Pitchers

Michael Wacha – Boston Red Sox (DraftKings - $7,200; FanDuel - $8,400; Yahoo - $36)

I had been fighting the buy-in to Wacha this season and after he allowed five runs in 4.1 innings against the White Sox in his last start, there was some level of vindication. It’s not the best night to find bargain pitching to feel good about, so we’ll look for Wacha to turn things around in a favorable matchup against Cincinnati. With a 2.83 ERA and 1.09 WHIP on the season, things are quite attractive on the surface for Wacha and even his 4.45 FIP puts him in line for a quality start – if he can make it through six innings, that is. Out of 102 batted balls, opposing hitters have just six barrels against Wacha to this point, and as long as that continues, he will have success.

George Kirby – Seattle Mariners (DraftKings - $6,600; FanDuel - $7,000; Yahoo - $32)

The rookie certainly is talented and of all the teams to target, Baltimore is generally going to be on the top portion of my list. After throwing six shutout innings in his MLB debut and allowing one run over his first 10 big-league innings, things have gone in the wrong direction for Kirby in his last two starts (nine runs in 10 innings). This is also a bet on the talent and minor league track record, but the fact that Kirby strikes out a batter an inning gives him some upside. Kirby has also been able to limit the walks (0.90 per nine innings) and with a 3.39 FIP, there is room for improvement as well.

MLB DFS Value Hitters

Mark Canha – New York Mets OF (DraftKings - $3,000; FanDuel - $3,100; Yahoo - $17)

Canha gets the start in the lead-off spot tonight with the platoon advantage against Patrick Corbin in what should be a favorable situation. The Mets’ offense has been rolling as of late and Canha is hitting .293 over the last 10 games with one home run, five RBI, and three runs scored. Moving up in the order should serve to benefit the dependable outfielder with the Mets having an implied run total of 5.64.

Albert Pujols – St. Louis Cardinals 1B (DraftKings - $2,700; FanDuel - $2,600; Yahoo - $11)

We don’t know exactly what we will get out of Blake Snell tonight, so let’s turn back the clock with Pujols. The future Hall of Famer is batting cleanup tonight against the left-hander and he has turned into a positive platoon option hitting .385 against southpaws in 26 at-bats with two home runs and six RBI. Pujols has four home runs on the season and Snell has been hittable as of late.

Frank Schwindel – Chicago Cubs 1B (DraftKings - $3,400; FanDuel - $2,800; Yahoo - $11)

In a very stackable game, let's go with the expected cleanup hitter for Chicago in Schwindel. Over his last 10 games, Schwindel has four home runs (six on the season), along with nine RBI (22 overall) – so that is what we are after here. After starting the season off strong, Eric Lauer hasn’t been as good lately and he has allowed seven home runs overall this year. If you are looking to stack Chicago, Schwindel slots in perfectly.

Tyrone Taylor – Milwaukee Brewers OF (DraftKings - $3,100; FanDuel - $2,600; Yahoo - $18)

Take what I just said about Schwindel and apply it here, except Justin Steele has proven to be more hittable than Lauer. Taylor has hits in 10 of his last 13 games and is hitting .343 over his last 10 games with four home runs, 11 RBI, and seven runs scored. This is an example of where DFS and seasonal fantasy baseball converge as I have been adding Taylor in multiple seasonal leagues while also riding in DFS through this recent stretch.
