MLB DFS 7/25 – Tonight’s slate is consistent across the board as DraftKings, Yahoo, and FanDuel will all a 11-game main starting at 7:05 pm ET. This slate has some solid value options on offense with a pair of Padres in Eric Hosmer and Jurickson Profar. On the pitching side, we have a decent play in Noah Syndergaard and another arm that has higher upside, but comes with a slightly steeper cost. There are a couple mlb weather concerns on this slate, so keep up with the weather center leading up to first pitch. Lastly, don’t forget to check out mlb implied runs totals using our Vegas Odds link and to use our mlb dfs lineup generator. Let’s dive into our mlb dfs picks today!

Pitchers

Noah Syndergaard, Angels (DraftKings - $7000 / Yahoo - $32)

Thor is having a very “meh” this season with a 4.00 ERA, 1.20 WHIP, and 58 Ks across 74.1 innings of work. He has seen a slight uptick in his strikeout rate recently though as he has 28 strikeouts across his last 28 innings of work (five starts) with at least 5 Ks in four of them. The Royals are a solid matchup as they are 26th in runs per game this season.

JT Brubaker, Pirates (DraftKings - $7400 / Yahoo - $33)

Brubaker has just two wins and not the best of ratios (4.02 ERA and 1.42 WHIP), but he does have 97 punch-outs across 94 innings of work, which provides us with upside. He also has a 3.10 ERA over his last 10 starts while averaging 15.5 dk ppg in that span and he is coming off a very dominating start in which he scored 30.8 dk points by tossing seven shutout innings with 10 Ks against Miami. The Cubs are a good matchup as they rank 18th in runs per game this year and have the 12th highest strikeout rate.

Hitters

Eric Hosmer, Padres (DraftKings - $2500 / FanDuel - $2400 / Yahoo - $10)

Hosmer is swinging it well right now as he has gone 5-12 with a home run, two doubles, and four RBI over his last three games. He is slashing .306/.405/.444 over his last 10 games. I’ll take a hot bat at a very cheap price that is facing a guy like Hutchison. He has a 4.46 ERA and 1.39 WHIP on the year and that’s actually better than the caliber pitcher that he actually is.

Greg Allen, Pirates (DraftKings - $2100 / FanDuel - $2000 / Yahoo - $12)

Allen has gone just 1-9 in his first two games since being activated off IL, but one of those games was against Sandy Alcantara. Not exactly a great matchup to come back to. The speedy lefty will have a much better matchup today when he takes on Sampson and at nearly the minimum price, he’s worth a shot as he could swipe a base. He has hit 2nd and 6th in his first two games, which are pretty solid lineup spots for a guy at his price as well.

Jurickson Profar, Padres (FanDuel - $2700 / Yahoo - $9)

Profar is cold at the dish right now and it has led to a massive price drop, but he is still having a productive season, hitting .238 with eight home runs, four steals, 21 doubles, and 90 total R+RBI across 89 games. He averages 7.7 dk ppg on the road this season, compared to 6.9 at home. And, as mentioned in Hosmer’s section, he gets to face a really bad pitcher in Hutchison today.

Jarren Duran, Red Sox (FanDuel - $2500 / Yahoo - $11)

Duran is coming off a big game yesterday as he went 2-4 with a double, triple, walk, and a pair of runs scored to score 19 dk points. He is now hitting .250 with seven steals and 24 total R+RBI through his first 31 games this year. Hitting at the top of Boston’s lineup is beneficially and the fact that he is facing Plesac, who is not a terrible pitcher but does give contact as opposing are hitting .273 against him this year.
