With it being Saturday, there is MLB action essentially all day and all night. That certainly is not a bad thing, but I will be covering the six-game MLB DFS slate that begins at 4:00 PM on the East coast. It provides us with plenty of games to work with, so let’s jump right in the search for some MLB DFS value options. It is important to stay up to date with the latest, MLB News, MLB Weather Center, and MLB Lineups throughout the day as you set and manage all of your MLB DFS lineups.

DFS Value Pitchers

Ranger Suárez (PHI); DraftKings - $7,700; FanDuel - $8,300; Yahoo - $36

Suarez is a pitcher I am interested in targeting this week in seasonal leagues through the waiver wire (shameless plug) so it makes sense that I would be targeting him here as well. From a value perspective, our tidy six-game slate might not the best if you’re looking to stay as close to under $8K on DK and FD as possible, but Suarez is a solid option nonetheless. The fact that the Marlins are not a team that is really imposing from an offensive perspective helps here as the left-hander makes his return from a two-plus week stint on the Injured List. In his last three starts, Suarez was between 15.4 and 17.1 DK points and has a solid 4.33 ERA on the season with 7.29 strikeouts per nine innings while generating a 55.1% ground ball rate.

Max Meyer (MIA); DraftKings - $5,000; FanDuel - $8,100; Yahoo - $37

The discount we get on Meyer on DK for his first Major League start is pretty intense and likely will result in him being a chalk option. I also generally do not like targeting two starting pitchers from the same game, but there is a low implied run total of 7.5 for the two teams and with wins being so hard to come by these days, the thought process is let’s just hope that one of these pitchers emerges victorious. Meyer was at the point in the minors where there was nothing left to prove for the left-hander as he had a 3.72 ERA in 12 starts (3.43 FIP) while striking out 10 batters per nine innings to go along with a 50% ground ball rate.

DFS Value Hitters

Trey Mancini, 1B (BAL); DraftKings - $2,800; FanDuel - $3,000; Yahoo - $13

Mancini is coming off a three-hit night, which included his ninth home run of the season, as he continues his recent string of success that has him hitting .326 in his last 10 games. This afternoon, Mancini gets to face a left-hander in Ryan Yarbrough who has struggled this season before finding himself taking a temporary detour to the minors. In 27 career at bats against Yarbrough, Mancini is hitting .407 with three home runs and four doubles which puts him squarely on my radar for today.

Victor Robles, OF (WAS); DraftKings - $2,000; FanDuel - $2,100; Yahoo - $7

Batter vs. Pitcher statistics do not always have to make sense, but in this case when we are talking about a minimum priced player who has the platoon advantage, I am interested. In 23 career at bats against Max Fried, Robles is hitting .391 and the outfielder is hitting a solid .280 with three stolen bases over his last 10 games.

Aledmys Díaz, 1B/2B/SS/3B/OF (HOU); DraftKings - $3,300; FanDuel - $2,400; Yahoo - $16

I know that I essentially listed all of the positions, but between DK and FD, Diaz’s eligibility is plentiful and his right-handed bat gets the platoon advantage today in a favorable matchup against Jared Koenig. Diaz saw a seven-game hitting streak come to a close on Thursday, although he still finished with a walk and RBI, before getting the night off on Friday. In his last 10 games, Diaz has taken advantage of extended playing time and is hitting. 304 with three home runs and seven RBI while also boosting his OBP with five walks.

Jonathan Aranda, 2B (TB); DraftKings - $2,100; FanDuel - $2,200; Yahoo - $7

Leave it to Tampa Bay to provide us with essentially minimum priced players who we can expect to have success in the middle of their lineup. That is the case with Aranda who has the platoon advantage against Dean Kremer and has two multi-hit games out of his last five. Aranda tore up Triple-A this season with 13 home runs and 57 RBI while batting .330 in 72 games prior to his promotion. The infielder has just seven MLB games under his belt, and Aranda has hit .375 with two RBI to this point.
