Time for some Saturday baseball! It is a full day of baseball, and today we will be focused on the slate kicking off at 4:05 PM EST on DraftKings and FanDuel. FanDuel is calling this their main slate, and DraftKings has it labeled as the (afternoon) slate. Tyler Glasnow is making his season debut for the Tampa Bay Rays today, but you don’t get much of a discount with him jumping into a matchup against the Los Angeles Dodgers in his first start. I am going to give him a start before I consider paying up for Glasnow. There is no shortage of star pitchers on the mound today with this slate, including Clayton Kershaw, Luis Castillo, Framber Valdez, Logan Webb, Zack Wheeler, and Corbin Burnes as well. There are two lower-priced pitchers that I love today to either take both or to take one to pair with an ace of your choosing (Luis Castillo is my favorite of those). The offensive side is a little tricker today with so many good pitchers on this slate. My favorite offenses to target today include the Texas Rangers, Houston Astros, and the Seattle Mariners. Plenty of different ways to build a lineup with the potential to cash, so let’s dive into some of my favorite value options of the day!

MLB DFS Value Pitchers

Andrew Heaney, Texas Rangers (DraftKings: $7,500 / FanDuel: $9,400)

Andrew Heaney has had two rough outings this season that is keeping his overall numbers from looking very good. Heaney has thrown three straight quality starts and has great strikeout potential. The strikeouts are down a bit from last year when he posted a 13.62 K/9 but still at a respectable 9.75 K/9 and has already had a 9-strikeout game and a 10-strikeout game this year. Heaney provides great upside at this price today with his skills.

Josiah Gray, Washington Nationals (DraftKings: $7,200 / FanDuel: $8,900)

Josiah Gray has been pitching great this season for the Washington Nationals. After his first start, he only has one start with 3 earned runs, and all others have been 2 or fewer. The strikeouts have been lacking over the last 3 starts, with only 10 strikeouts in 19 innings, but he still has a 1.89 ERA over that stretch. The Kansas City Royals will give him a chance to get his strikeout numbers back up, as the Royals hold the 5th highest strikeout rate against right-handed pitching at 25.1%.

MLB DFS Value Hitters

Travis d’Arnaud, C Atlanta Braves (DraftKings: $3,700 / FanDuel: $2,500)

Travis d’Arnaud has continued to hit well since his return from the IL with a .296/.345/.444 slash line in his 8 games after returning to the lineup. If he is batting cleanup for this Atlanta Braves lineup, which he has in 3 of his last 4 starts, then he is a great option at this price to have a good-hitting catcher in the middle of a potent lineup.

Joey Meneses, 1B Washington Nationals (DraftKings: $3,200 / FanDuel: $2,800)

Joey Meneses had a slow start to the season but is having a great month in May. He is slashing .330/.365/.443 this month and in his last 5 games has 10 hits and is looking red-hot at the plate. The homers still haven’t been there for Meneses, with only 1 home run in May, but hopefully, those will start to come more frequently if he keeps hitting the ball this well. Brady Singer has been extremely hittable this year and will be a great chance for Meneses to keep up this hot streak.

Luis Garcia, 2B Washington Nationals (DraftKings: $3,800 / FanDuel: $2,800)

Luis Garcia is coming off a 6 hit game yesterday, including 2 doubles. Over his last 10 games, he has 17 hits, including 5 multi-hit games. Granted, they have all been singles, but at this price, he can easily return value even without the power if he keeps stacking up as many hits as he has been as of late. While I am not going to target the Washington Nationals very often, I really like a Luis Garcia/Joey Meneses/Keibert Ruiz stack against Brady Singer today.

Marcell Ozuna, OF Atlanta Braves (DraftKings: $2,700 / FanDuel: $3,000)

Marcell Ozuna is red hot right now, with homeruns in 3 straight games. Not only in the short term, but he has been hitting all of May. In May he is hitting a ridiculous .366/.438/.789 with 9 home runs. You can get the player who is tied for the second most home runs in the league this month with Pete Alonso for this price. I have no idea why his price is still this low, but we will not complain and just put him right into our lineups.
