It is time for some Sunday baseball! We have an early main slate today with a 10-game main slate kicking off at 1:35 PM EST on both DraftKings and FanDuel. Make sure to get those DFS lineups set in time and in order to help you make some decisions we have some great value plays today that should help create winning lineups whether you are playing cash games or gpp tournaments. A lot of interesting players to choose from today, with some very cheap pitchers that are worth looking at if you don’t want to pay up for the top end in Nathan Eovaldi or Joe Ryan today. There are plenty of offenses you can target today as well, but make sure to get some good hitting value plays in as well to round out your lineups. With that said, let’s dive into some of my favorite value options of the day!

MLB DFS Value Pitchers

Michael Kopech, Chicago White Sox (DraftKings: $8,500 / FanDuel: $9,800)

Michael Kopech was terrible to start the season after a strong spring got people very excited about him again. He has bounced back and, in his last 3 starts, has struck out 29 batters in 19.1 innings and only given up 4 runs. This also included two straight starts where he threw 15 straight scoreless innings with 19 strikeouts and only gave up 3 hits and 1 walk. The upside is incredibly high with Kopech, and at this price and getting to face the Detroit Tigers, I don’t see how you could pass up putting him in a lineup today.

Ranger Suarez, Philadelphia Phillies (DraftKings: $5,700 / FanDuel: $6,700)

Ranger Suarez is incredibly cheap today and while there is nothing incredibly exciting about Ranger Suarez, he is a decent option facing a weak lineup in the Washington Nationals today. The Nationals don’t strike out a lot and they do fare better against left-handers, but I am still trusting Ranger to return this value today. He just put up 6.2 innings against the New York Mets, giving up 2 runs, and while there were only 4 strikeouts, that is still a decent outing and will have a great chance to get the win against the Nationals today. There isn’t a ton of strikeout upside, but even if he can get at least 4 strikeouts while putting up a quality start and hopefully get the win, that will make him worth this price today.

MLB DFS Value Hitters

Andrew Vaughn, 1B Chicago White Sox (DraftKings: $3,300 / FanDuel: $2,300)

Andrew Vaughn is on an 8-game hitting streak. During that streak, he has slashed .414/.471/.759, has hit 2 home runs, and has 4 multi-hit games. He faces Matthew Boyd today, who should struggle against what can be a very strong White Sox lineup at times. Matthew Boyd also gets hit much harder by right-handed pitching and this should be a great matchup for Vaughn to continue the hit streak and easily return his value today.

Ezequiel Duran, SS (FanDuel 2B/SS/OF) Texas Rangers (DraftKings: $2,900 / FanDuel: $2,900)

Ezequiel Duran continues to hit the ball well for the Texas Rangers. After a short stint on the IL, he is back in the lineup and is just way too cheap for the way he has been hitting the ball. He has an .872 OPS on the year, along with a .307 AVG, and just continues to contribute to this potent Ranger offense. While he is even better against lefties, he still has been doing plenty of damage against right-handers as well, and as great as Bryce Miller has been in his short rookie campaign, there is a good chance the Rangers put some runs up again today.

Mickey Moniak, OF Los Angeles Angels (DraftKings: $3,500 / FanDuel: $2,800)

Mickey Moniak continues to bat leadoff for the Angels when they are facing right-handed pitching. He is still slashing .327/.340/.694 on the season, and as long as he keeps getting to bat at the top of that lineup with Trout and Ohtani following him, he will have the chance to provide a ton of value. You will be hard-pressed to find a hitter who is hitting this well in that good of a lineup position anywhere near this price.

Nolan Jones, 1B/OF (FanDuel 3B) Colorado Rockies (DraftKings: $3,200 / FanDuel: $2,900)

Nolan Jones continues to hit well since being called up from the minors. Sure, it is on the road today and not in Coors, but getting to face Brady Singer should still be a good matchup for him to continue the good hitting he has done so far. On top of that, he shouldn’t have the “Coors Hangover” that most Colorado hitters have because he has only played 3 games there since being called up. In his 4 starts on this road stretch, he has 5 hits, including 2 doubles and a home run.
