Today’s MLB DFS coverage is for the 4-game main slate that starts at 1:07 pm ET, the same slate on both DraftKings and FanDeul. We do not have Coors Field on the slate, so you don’t have to worry about that when setting lineups. Starting pitching is headlined by Kevin Gausman, but there are a couple other intriguing options as well. We don’t have any mlb weather concerns today, which always makes for a more enjoyable experience, especially on a small slate like this. Jon is on the playbook today, make sure to give that a read, and don’t forget to check out the MLB Lineups page, Vegas Odds, and all of our MLB DFS Tools. Let’s dive into some of my favorite value options of the day and some we can fit into our cash and tournament lineups!

MLB DFS Value Pitchers

Joe Musgrove, San Diego Padres (DraftKings: $7,300 / FanDuel: $7,500)

Musgrove started the year very poorly, but he has been pitching much better of late and was dominant in his last start against the New York Yankees, firing 6.1 innings of one-run ball with 6 Ks in a win (finishing with 24.7 dk points – his highest of the season). He gets to follow that up with a nice matchup against the Miami Marlins and he is very cheap; I expect him to be a very popular play today.

MLB DFS Value Hitters

Nolan Jones, 1B, Colorado Rockies (DraftKings: $3,000 / FanDuel: $2,700)

Jones has performed well since being recalled, hitting .278 with a home run and two doubles across six games of action. Today he will face Zach Davis, who has an unsightly 5.68 ERA and 1.74 WHIP through his first three starts of the year. Jones should be able to keep the good times rollin’ in this matchup.

Brett Baty, 3B, New York Mets (DraftKings: $3,200 / FanDuel: $2,700)

Baty has had some bad luck thus far and is overall line doesn’t look that great as he is hitting .239 with four home runs and 15 RBI across 36 games of action. He is a talented kid though and he hits the ball hard. He has been SO much better at home this year, hitting .320 with a 1.044 OPS (all four of his bombs) and averaging 8 dk ppg, compared to a .179 average, .437 OPS, and 3.9 dk ppg on the road. He is facing Taijuan Walker, who has a 5.57 ERA and 1.46 WHIP thus far.

Jake McCarthy, OF, Arizona Diamondbacks (DraftKings: $2,800 / FanDuel: $2,600)

McCarthy started the year ice cold and was sent down, but he’s back and he’s scorching hot right now. He has scored 24, 16, and 13 DK points over his last three games by going 6-10 with FIVE steals and two runs scored in that span. He is facing Chase Anderson today and I highly doubt that Anderson is the guy that cools off McCarthy.
