Tonight’s MLB DFS coverage is for the big 11-game main slate that starts at 7:05 pm ET on both DraftKings and FanDuel. Starting pitching is headlined by Framber Valdez (fresh off his no-hitter) and Max Scherzer making his second start as a Ranger. We do not have Coors Field on the slate, so you don’t have to keep that in mind when setting lineups. Shohei Ohtani and Ronald Acuna Jr. are the most expensive hitters at our disposal. Henry is on the playbook today, make sure to give that a read, and don’t forget to check out the MLB Lineups page, Vegas Odds, and all of our MLB DFS Tools. Let’s dive into some of my favorite value options of the day and some we can fit into our cash and tournament lineups!

MLB DFS Value Pitcher

Touki Toussaint, Chicago White Sox (DraftKings: $5,700)

Toussaint is nearly the cheapest pitcher on the slate, but honestly it feels like a slight mispricing. He has pitched well over his last two starts, scoring 20.9 and 16.6 dk points and if we get that today at $5,700 that’s a win. One of those matchups came against the Rangers too, and today he gets a much easiest test in the Yankees. He is easily worth the gamble at this price tag.

MLB DFS Value Hitters

Brendan Rodgers, 2B, Colorado Rockies (DraftKings: $2,500 / FanDuel: $2,300)

I had Rodgers in my Friday playbook and he had a decent little game, going 1-4 with a walk and a RBI to finish with 7 dk points. We are going to hope for better than that today though. He has always hit lefties well and I view Rodgers as a better player than he is currently being priced. He will likely be about 1K more expensive in a couple weeks. A matchup against Wade Miley isn’t the easiest in the world, but Miley has been worse at home this year than on the road.

Ian Happ, OF, Chicago Cubs (DraftKings: $3,400)

Happ is pretty expensive on FanDuel, but his DK price is very enticing in this matchup. He is averaging 11.5 dk ppg over his last ten games with FOUR home runs, a steal, and 19 total R/RBI. He is hitting .262 on the road this year with a .830 OPS, compared to .233 and .750 at home, respectively. Tonight he faces Carlos Carrasco, who has been pummeled consistently this season and has a 6.60 ERA with a 1.64 WHIP and already 15 home runs allowed across 76.1 innings. The Cubs will likely be a popular stack tonight (and they should be).

James Outman, OF, Los Angeles Dodgers (DraftKings: $3,200 / FanDuel: $2,900)

If you are thinking to yourself “I feel like Outman has been in a lot of your value articles this past month” well you would be correct. And why wouldn’t he be? He is hitting .393 over his last 10 games with a home run and two steals. He just scored 20 dk points yesterday, going a perfect 4-4 with two runs scored. He is locked in right now and is facing a pitcher in Brandon Pfaadt, who has a 7.11 ERA and 1.44 WHIP through his first nine starts.
