While making your MLB DFS lineups tonight, you are going to need to keep an eye on the MLB weather report for any delays, postponements, etc. I would recommend bookmarking our MLB weather center so you can stay up to date throughout the day in regards to weather at the ballpark. However, with player props over at Underdog Fantasy, a potential delay could actually benefit us. I expect Toronto to get to Kyle Bradish early and often in this contest, but if there’s a lengthy delay, Bradish’s night could be over quickly. Aside from Bradish, look to Merrill Kelly against the Padres, and Ronald Acuña Jr. in Oakland to increase your winning multiplier on Underdog Fantasy. Be sure to check out today's MLB lineups and the MLB daily projections before locking in any bets, props, or daily fantasy baseball lineups. Here are my favorite MLB player props and plays of the day for Tuesday, September 6th over on Underdog Fantasy.

Underdog Fantasy MLB Player Props September 6

Merrill KellyOVER 5 Strikeouts

I am aware that Kelly’s strikeout rate for the season is vastly lower than his mark at home, but Kelly does have six or more strikeouts in seven of his last outings overall, three of which were on the road. He’s picked up the strikeouts of late, and when you look at his pitch mix recently, he’s upped the usage on his cutter and changeup. By adjusting his pitch mix a bit, he’s allowed his changeup in particular to flourish, and it’s been solid in generating whiffs, so it’s encouraging that he’s using it more. He has a 2.74 ERA on the road this season, and the Padres actually have the ninth-highest strikeout rate against right-handed pitching over the last two weeks.

Kyle BradishUNDER 95.5 Pitch Count

Bradish has been pulled prior to the 96th pitch in six of his last nine starts, and for a right-hander who has reverse splits, the Toronto Blue Jays is not a team you want to face. He’s struggled overall against Toronto this season, and here are his pitch counts in those games: 90, 80, and 96. There’s some rain in the area for this game, so if it gets started, there very well could be a delay, and if it is lengthy enough, Baltimore won’t send Bradish out afterwards. Without a delay, Toronto should get to Bradish and his 6.29 home ERA this season, en route to an early, or relatively early, departure.

Ronald Acuña Jr.OVER 1.5 Total Bases

I don’t like attacking Cole Irvin when he’s pitching at home, but I’m going with Acuna tonight, who is 4-for-5 with two home runs in his career against the Oakland southpaw. Acuna has an .836 OPS and .173 ISO against southpaws this season, and over his last 10 games, he’s hitting .286 with a .429 SLG and 117 wRC+. Irvin has allowed a .412 SLG and 1.19 HR/9 to right-handed hitters this season, and again, while he has been excellent at home, I’m confident in Acuna this evening.
