I’m going to keep it rather simple today, because when I looked at the board of MLB player props over at Underdog Fantasy after combing through the data, two numbers jumped out in particular. Not one, but two players named Carlos caught my eye today, as they find themselves in great matchups and have lines that were lower than what I would have envisioned. If you’re a BvP junkie like me, you’ll love Carlos Correa today, and if you love targeting strikeout props against the Pittsburgh Pirates, you’ll love Carlos Carrasco this evening. Check out our MLB daily projections for more lines to exploit over at Underdog Fantasy en route to another winning evening! Plus, keep an eye on the MLB weather report and the confirmed MLB lineups if you're putting in MLB betting picks or playing MLB DFS lineups. Without further ado, here are my favorite MLB player props and plays of the day over at Underdog Fantasy for Thursday, September 15.

Underdog Fantasy MLB Player Props September 15

Carlos Correa – OVER 6.5 Fantasy Points

I’m surprised this line isn’t higher if I’m being honest. Over his last 10 games, he’s slashing .409/.422/.841 with four doubles, five home runs, 12 RBI and seven runs scored. Furthermore, he has multiple hits in four of his last five games, and this Minnesota team fares well against lefties, which should give him ample opportunities in run-producing situations. Kansas City’s Daniel Lynch has a 6.11 ERA over his last seven starts, and quite a few Twins have solid BvP numbers against Lynch in their respective careers. Furthermore, Correa at home and/or against lefties has been money in the bank:

  • .315 average and .883 OPS at home
  • .287 average and .900 OPS vs LHP
  • .340 average and 1.052 OPS at home vs LHP

Carlos Carrasco – OVER 5.5 Strikeouts

Carrasco has been solid at home this year, especially compared to on the road. At home this year, he has a 3.35 ERA and 8.8 K/9, and gets to face a Pittsburgh lineup that we all know is prone to the strikeout. Over the last two weeks, the Pirates have the 12th-highest strikeout rate against right-handed pitching, but when you look over the last 30 days and for the 2022 season as a whole, Pittsburgh has the sixth-highest, and fourth-highest strikeout rate respectively. Carrasco has exceeded this mark in six of his last 10 starts, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see this line move to an even six as the day goes on, so get in on it early.
