We have seven MLB games on Thursday, June 30th with the slate kicking off at 6:10 pm ET, and there is a lot going on from an MLB DFS lineup perspective. We have some elite pitchers in Aaron Nola, Luis Severino, and Logan Gilbert, but there also have some elite offenses to consider for daily fantasy baseball lineups. Some of that offense may be manufactured by weather, as there are potentially 15 MPH winds blowing out of Wrigley Field. We'll be targeting that matchup between the Cincinnati Reds and Chicago Cubs for one of the top MLB player props on Underdog Fantasy. Check back with our MLB Weather Center for more details surrounding the latest MLB weather report as MLB daily fantasy lineup lock approaches. MLB Player Props Underdog Fantasy June 30

Willson ContrerasOVER 1.5 total bases

Today’s game at Wrigley Field is very appealing, considering how much wind is blowing out here. We’re going to see winds nearing and possibly surpassing 15 MPH, which means an increase in offense. Willson Contreras faces off against Graham Ashcraft who, yes, is coming off his best start of the year, but has struggled with right-handed hitters this season. Righties are batting .284 with a .780 OPS and .339 wOBA against him.

On the flip side of this match-up, Contreras has hit right-handed pitching pretty well this year. He has a .358 wOBA and a .798 OPS versus righties. At home, he takes things to a different level, notching a 1.000 OPS, .271 ISO, and a .431 wOBA. The cherry on top of everything is the wind and we could see Contreras hit a home run here.

Luis SeverinoOVER 6.5 strikeouts

It’s hard to look at this current version of Luis Severino and think he’s not going to strike out at least seven Astros here. He’s struck out seven or more opponents in five straight outings and has done so in seven of his last eight games, including a start against the Astros. This time around, the Astros are without both Yordan Alvarez and Jeremy Peña, only decreasing the elite nature of the Houston lineup. Severino’s 29.7% K-rate this season is as elite as it gets.

When taking a look at the Astros, I mentioned how Yordan Alvarez and Jeremy Peña are out, which makes their lineup much weaker. With them out, it puts someone like J.J. Matijevic into the Astros lineup and he has a 45% K-rate. Just to show you who’s replacing two of their best players. Severino is in an elite spot here.
