We don’t have that big of an MLB DFS main slate tonight with just five games, but it’s jam packed with good plays. Wednesday, July 27th is going to be a great night of baseball action for your MLB daily fantasy lineups and MLB player props. We have the Subway Series taking place with Max Scherzer facing off against the New York Yankees, Luis Castillo potentially makes his last start in a Reds jersey ahead of the 2022 MLB Trade Deadline, and so much more. Check back with our MLB Weather Center for more details surrounding the latest MLB weather report as MLB daily fantasy lineup lock approaches. MLB Player Props Underdog Fantasy July 27

George SpringerOVER 1.5 Total Bases

This is a great match-up for the Toronto Blue Jays and George Springer. There are years of documentation that says Adam Wainwright on the road is a vastly different pitcher than the one that pitches in St. Louis. The numbers, once again, suggest that this season. Wainwright has a 2.01 ERA at home this year, but on the road, it’s 4.81. He’s given up nine of his 13 homers on the road and opponents have a .476 SLG% and a .348 wOBA against him. In fact, taking this a step further, right-handed hitters on the road are what he has struggled with the most this season. They’re batting .293 with six home runs and a .504 SLG% across 31 innings pitched.

Insert George Springer, who really checks all the boxes. He’s a right-handed bat, in his home ballpark, hitting atop a potent lineup – and he's rolling himself. Springer is riding a five-game hitting streak and is coming off a Tuesday performance that included a grand slam. He's belted 15 of his 18 home runs against right-handed pitching this year and has a .368 wOBA against them.

Luis CastilloOVER 18.5 Pitching Outs

In what very well could be Luis Castillo’s final start with the Cincinnati Reds, Luis Castillo is in a fantastic spot against the Miami Marlins. The Marlins are absolutely decimated by injury right now as Jazz Chisholm Jr., Jon Berti, Jorge Soler, Brian Anderson, and Garrett Cooper are ALL on the IL. Over the last two weeks, with most of these guys out of the lineup, missing them has shown up in the box score as they rank 28th in OPS and wOBA while being 30th in ISO against right-handed pitching. Yes, this is a hitter-friendly ballpark in Cincinnati, but don’t tell Castillo that because he hasn’t noticed.

The Reds starter has been fantastic lately as he’s allowed three earned runs total over his last four starts and that’s spanning 27 innings. We’re talking about outs here and Castillo has gone over this mark in three consecutive starts and four of his last six overall. HIs strikeout prop is probably something I’d consider as well.
