Spencer Strider OVER 7.5 strikeouts

I know you may look at Spencer Strider’s last start and think I’m crazy, but this kid is an absolute strikeout machine in a great spot to do some serious damage in that department. Strider enters this start with an incredible 37.9% K-rate, which actually leads the league amongst all pitchers that have thrown at least 50 innings this season.

Strider takes on a struggling Phillies offense that has a 30.7% K-rate against right-handed pitching over the last two weeks. They’re 25th in OPS against RHP over that span as well. Strider has struck out eight or more batters in three of his last four starts. Now that the Braves are comfortable with him to top 100 pitches, Strider should hit this number and challenge his season-high mark of 12.

José Berríos OVER 5.0 strikeouts

It’s hard to ignore the elephant in the room here; the Cardinals are without both Paul Goldschmidt and Nolan Arenado due to the covid protocols in place in Canada. They’re already without Juan Yepez, Harrison Bader, and Yadier Molina too, so five everyday players are not in the lineup for the Cardinals on Tuesday.

Berrios has looked very sharp in July, notching six or more strikeouts in three straight starts including a 13 punchout game against the Phillies on the 12th of July. He’s also been far more dominant at home this year, especially in the strikeout department, notching a 26.8% K-rate compared to a 15.9% mark on the road. Tie all of that together in a bow and we could be looking at another big-time outing from Berrios.

Disclaimer; you don’t have to play all five plays. Mix and match the one’s you like. We don’t have the luxury of getting anything wrong on Underdog like we do on PrizePicks
