Welcome back to another week of fantasy baseball and MLB player props over at Underdog Fantasy. First of all, there’s a lot of MLB weather report issues on the board, which definitely influenced some of the player props that I’m looking at today. Make sure you check out our MLB weather center leading up to the first pitch of each of Monday's games, so that you can make the most informed decision possible when increasing your multiplier on Underdog Fantasy. There are three player props I really like today, and will be using these three to multiply my entry today. Christopher Morel is hitting .455 over his last six games and he faces a very hittable pitcher in JT Brubaker this evening. Plus, Jose Altuve and the Houston Astros should be a popular MLB DFS stack as they feast on Adam Oller and the Oakland Athletics. Meanwhile, Nick Lodolo has big upside in the strikeout department tonight against a Marlins team that has been killed by southpaws. Before you lock in MLB player props or MLB DFS lineups tonight, be sure to check on the confirmed MLB lineups and the MLB daily projections. Check out the latest MLB news as well to build the best daily fantasy baseball lineups. Now, here are my top MLB daily picks and favorite MLB player props over on Underdog Fantasy for Monday, July 25.

MLB Player Props Underdog Fantasy July 25

Jose AltuveOVER 1.5 Total Bases

Typically, we target Altuve against lefties but he’s in a good enough matchup tonight that I’ll bite on this line. In five games since the All-Star break, the Astros' second baseman is hitting .318 with two home runs and he’s hit safely in each of his last three contests. Winds should be blowing out tonight in Oakland and A's starter Adam Oller has allowed a .333 batting average and .416 wOBA to right-handed hitters this season. Furthermore, in three appearances at home this year, Oller has a 10.50 ERA across 12 innings of work – including 14 hits and four HR in that span. In the month of July, Altuve has a respectable .268 batting average and 116 wRC+ against right-handed pitchers. This Oakland righty tonight shouldn’t pose much of a threat to Altuve and the Astros.

Nick LodoloOVER 6 Strikeouts

Miami has the league’s worst strikeout rate against left-handed pitching this year, coming in at 27.2%. Though the Marlins have been better lately in terms of strikeouts against lefties – falling just below the league average in July – Lodolo still has big-time K upside in this one. The Reds' starter has a 12.99 K/9 on the year with six or more strikeouts in four of his last five starts. Over his last five outings, Lodolo has a 13.70 K/9 (31.8 K%) with a quality 12.4% swinging strike rate and 71.7% contact rate. I’d feel better if this were to drop to a 5.5 line, but I’ll still play it at six, and chase his upside.

Christopher MorelOVER 0.5 Hits

Morel has found himself at the bottom of the order against righties lately, but he just needs one hit to give us the over. He has a six-game hit streak working and during this run, he’s hitting .455 with an extra-base hit in each of his last three games. Additionally, the Cubs youngster has struck out just 8% of the time during this run! Pittsburgh’s JT Brubaker has allowed righties to hit .254 on the year with a .314 wOBA, while Morel has a .299 batting average and .388 wOBA versus righties in 2022. Despite allowing a 3.88 ERA since the calendar has flipped to June, Brubaker has a 1.45 WHIP with nearly one hit allowed per inning. Even at the bottom of the Chicago Cubs order, I like Morel to continue his hot stretch and extend his hitting streak to seven games.
