We have eight Major League Baseball games tonight, and I have three MLB player props to use at your discretion over at Underdog Fantasy. Nolan Arenado and Shohei Ohtani find themselves in matchups in which they boast both great historical BvP numbers against their opponent’s starter. Offensively speaking, those are my two favorite plays of the day, and the third player prop involves an NL East pitcher on the best side of his splits going up against one of the most strikeout prone teams over the last two weeks. By nailing these three player props, we can 6x our money on Underdog, and perhaps even take some of our winnings to enter in a few more fantasy football best ball drafts! To maximize your winnings today, be sure to check out our weather centerMLB DFS daily projections, and MLB odds to potentially add more props to further increase your multiplier. Here are my favorite MLB player props over at Underdog Fantasy for Monday, August 29.

Underdog Fantasy MLB Player Props August 29

Nolan ArenadoOVER 1.5 Total Bases

This is easily my favorite prop of the day. Arenado is 8-for-27 with four home runs in his career against Chase Anderson, and the St. Louis superstar has a .926 OPS versus right-handed pitching for the 2022 season. Furthermore, Arenado has been excellent on the road this year, posting a .944 OPS, and he has multiple hits in half of his games at Great American Ball Park this season. Chase Anderson has allowed a 1.68 HR/9 to right-handed hitters, along with a .279/.336/.498 slash line. As if you needed any more incentive to attack this prop, beyond the fact that Arenado is facing a righty that he has crushed for his career, and this particular righty has struggled with right-handed hitters for his entire career, consider the fact that Arenado is hitting a cool .457 with a .531 wOBA over his last nine games.

Ranger Suárez –  OVER 4.5 Strikeouts

Lock this in before the line moves! Suarez has been a far better pitcher on the road this year than at home, as seen by his 2.41 road ERA and strikeout rate that is over three percentage points higher on the road. Sure, his 21.7 percent strikeout rate isn’t overpowering by any means, but it’s better than what it is at his home park! Over the last two weeks, the Arizona Diamondbacks have the fourth-highest strikeout rate against lefties, not to mention a measly .208 batting average, .542 OPS, and 61 wRC+. Suarez has five or more strikeouts in four of his last five starts, and he has a 33.1 O-Swing% and 10.7 SwStr% over this five-start stretch. For a frame of reference, his numbers in those two categories prior to these five starts were 30.2 percent and 8.2 percent respectively.

Shohei OhtaniOVER 7.5 Fantasy Points

Ohtani has been great of late, and Montas hasn’t. Enough said. Ohtani is 6-for-17 with two home runs in his career against Frankie Montas, and the two-way superstar has a .938 OPS versus right-handed pitching in 2022. Ohtani has a 1.008 OPS at home this season, and he has a massive .725 SLG over his last 12 games. In four starts with the Yankees, Montas has a whopping 7.32 ERA, and across those four starts, he’s allowed a .296/.394/.444 stat line to left-handed hitters, not to mention a .367 wOBA.
