The White Sox offense had a good weekend and has looked better lately, but Clay Holmes has been a legit starter and continues to pitch deep into games. He’s tossed at least six innings in four straight starts, with three of them coming against the Red Sox, Cubs, and Cardinals. The White Sox rank 29th or worse in OPS, ISO, wOBA, and wRC+ against right-handed pitching this year. If you guys haven’t heard, Jacob deGrom is great again. deGrom has struck out seven or more batters in three straight games and four of five overall. He faces a Blue Jays offense that doesn’t strike out all that much, but they’re bad. deGrom has a 15% SwStr rate on the year and pairs that with a 27.7% K-rate. He can make any offense swing and miss and has done that a LOT lately. Trust in deGoat? YES SIR!
