Saturday's MLB DFS slate is a doozy with the DraftKings MLB DFS slate kicking off at 1pm ET and consisting of 11 games while FanDuel's MLB DFS main slate starts at 4pm and is seven games. Both slates include the 4pm contests but be sure to check out the Core Plays at the bottom for your specific platform so you know which players to build your lineups around this evening. Be sure to check in with our MLB DFS Tools, with the daily MLB projections, MLB DFS rostership projections, and our MLB DFS Lineup Generator when building those lineups today to help you decide which players you should be targeting!

DFS Lineup Construction Thoughts
Hard not to like Coors Field here today after what we saw on Friday night. Both teams are sending southpaws to the mound which is matchup the plays into the favor of both opposing offenses. With a large slate on DraftKings today there will be some opportunities to play the chalk and still be different in other areas. With FanDuel using a small slate there is likely to be a bit more of rostership consolidation on the top plays here today. As usual, looking to stack is the way to go.

Favorite Starters to Use for DFS Lineups
Michael Kopech, Chicago White Sox
Has Kopech finally figured it out? The White Sox righty is on one of the best stretches of his career, allowing just six earned runs over his last 26.1 innings while striking out 48!! The elite strikeout numbers have given some slate breaking upside with point totals of 41 and 36 in two of the last four outings. Now, the Marlins are an offense that, surprisingly, isn't striking out as much as you would expect them to be this season but the rest of their numbers against righties are rather middling. I'm willing to bet on Kopech here today given the current form.
Julio Teheran, Milwaukee Brewers
I guess I waive the white flag here. I've faded Teheran in each of his three starts this season, the underlying numbers continue to suggest that he is due to get hit but does that come against the Oakland A's? Odds are more likely he pitches yet another quality outing. In three starts Teheran has allowed just three runs over 16.1 innings while striking out 10. He has five strike outs in two of the three starts and then a zero strike out game against the Blue Jays. If the Brewers pull off a win today for Teheran he should get to 20 fantasy points just by doing what hes been doing and nothing more.
Triston McKenzie, Cleveland Guardians
Throwing one out to my FanDuel friends, McKenzie made his season debut last week and finished with 10 strike outs over five innings while allowing just one hit the Twins. Yes, his matchup today is certainly a much tougher test but McKenzie is a really good arm and we've seen the Astros get shut down this season. Add in the fact that Yordan Alvarez may again be out of the lineup and he is certainly worth a dart.
Andrew Abbott, Cincinnati Reds
Another spot where we have to see what plays through. Over the last two weeks the Cardinals rank DEAD LAST in wOBA, 29th in ISO and 29th in batting average with a 23.1% strikeout rate. In his MLB debut, Abbott tossed six innings of one-hit baseball while striking out six. If the Cardinals continue to struggle against southpaws then Abbott becomes one of the better values on the board.

Favorite Hitters to Use for DFS Lineups
Manny Machado, San Diego Padres
He's going to be super chalk but its for a good reason as the Padres third basemen is hitting .377 with a .509 slugging percentage and an OPS of .930 against LHP this season and he draws another southpaw today in Kyle Freeland. Machado is 12-for-41 with six doubles in his career against Freeland and is coming off a night where he homered off a lefty in Austin Gomber.
Lane Thomas, Washington Nationals
Whenever there is a lefty on the mound we should be giving serious thought to Nationals outfielder Lane Thomas. A mainstay in my playbooks, Thomas is hitting .360 with a .627 slugging percentage and an OPS of 1.048 against left-handed pitching this season. Today the Braves are sending out southpaw Jared Shuster who has some pretty ugly numbers this season for the Braves.
Gary Sanchez, San Diego Padres
Sanchez has been a menace since joining the Padres and on Friday night he homered again, his fifth of the year and third in the last four games. He hit cleanup last night for the Padres, a position in the lineup he should hold down again today as the Rockies send another southpaw to the mound.
Emmanuel Rivera, Arizona Diamondbacks
Diamondbacks have a lot of hitters against lefties and with Evan Longoria out of the lineup today we can look to Rivera here at a nice value on DraftKings. Against southpaws this season Rivera is hitting .400 with a .556 slugging percentage and an OPS of .956. He doesn't have much home run power but the guy gets on base and has 11 RBI in 45 at bats against southpaws this season.
