While the NFL Draft continues to dominate the news cycles we still have a full days worth of MLB games to play here today and so we have 11 games on tonight's MLB DFS main slate. Now, there is going to be some weather impacting this slate and that will be a trend for the weekend so make sure you follow all the weather updates before roster lock. Be sure to check in with our MLB DFS Tools, with the daily MLB projections, MLB DFS rostership projections, and our MLB DFS Lineup Generator when building those lineups today to help you decide which players you should be targeting!

MLB Weather Updates

It's wet along the east coast and we are likely going to see some PPD's here tonight and if not tonight definitely this weekend.

Pittsburgh Pirates vs Washington Nationals

We know Washington's history when it comes rain as they have notoriously been an organization that PPD's games when there is rain on the radar nevermind actually raining. This game likely is delayed to start with an eventual PPD. UPDATED – PPD

Atlanta Braves vs New York Mets

The rain that hits Washington makes its way to New York this evening. This game may start but eventually the wet weather comes and we probably do not finish this game, if they start it at all.

DFS Lineup Construction Thoughts

Well, we have Coors Field on the slate with a game total of 11 runs so there will be some lineup exposure here today, especially with some of the pricing on the Diamondbacks with Kyle Freeland on the mound here this evening. We also once again have one of our favorite split matchups with Brandon Drury going up against a southpaw in Wade Miley. This slate has some pretty elite pitching options with Jacob deGrom facing a Yankees team that is already vulnerable and will now be without Aaron Judge here as well. Don't fade the chalk here and start your lineups with deGrom and some Coors Field exposure.

Favorite Starters to Use for DFS Lineups

Jacob deGrom, Texas Rangers

I mean, he is one of, if not, the best pitcher in baseball. He's an elite strikeout pitcher going up against a Yankees lineup that has a 25.2% strikeout rate who will be without Aaron Judge here today. Sometimes the obvious  plays just can't be ignored.

Zach Eflin, Tampa Bay Rays

We've talked extensively about this Chicago White Sox lineup and how it really lacks some punch, especially against right-handed pitching where they rank 21st in batting average and 26th in wOBA. Rays are also one of the higher betting favorites to win today against the White Sox.

Alek Manoah, Toronto Blue Jays

Did we finally see the turning point for Manoah? In his last start against the Yankees he tossed seven innings of shutout baseball while allowing only two hits while striking out five. After walks being an issue, Manoah only walked one in that outing. The Mariners lineup has some talent but haven't really exploded this season, ranking 23rd in batting average and 20th in OPS against right-handed pitching with a 24.4% strikeout rate.

Favorite Hitters to Use for DFS Lineups

Christian Walker, 1B Arizona Diamondbacks

Walker is hitting .306 with an OPS of .850 over the last 10 games as the DBacks first basemen starts to heat up. Walker was a lefty masher last season and has an OPS of .830 against southpaws this season. In his career against Kyle Freeland he is 6-for-24 with two home runs and an OPS of .838. We also get the Coors Field boost here tonight.

Brandon Drury, 1B/2B Los Angeles Angels

We love Drury against left-handed pitching and he has four home runs over the last five games which includes a pair of homers off lefties in Waldichuk and Sears. Against southpaws last season Drury hit .299 with an OPS of .955. He faces off against Wade Miley here today who is off to a solid start but his 1.96 ERA is matched by an xERA of 4.14 and an xFIP of 4.58 which means some regression is due.

Brent Rooker, OF Oakland Athletics

We don't often play the Athletics but there are certain matchups where a guy like Rooker is just too appealing and that's what we have here today. Rooker is hitting .300 with three home runs and an OPS of 1.128 over the last 10 games. Against right-handed pitching he is hitting .343 with four of his seven homers and an OPS of 1.220. He faces off against Reds righty Luis Cessa who has allowed righties to hit .375 with an OPS of .935 this season and has an ERA of 10.80 this season.
