Happy Tuesday! I hope everyone had a fantastic Labor Day Weekend and you are ready for the last month of the baseball season! We have another excellent slate in store for us this evening, featuring a 9-game main slate that starts at 7:35 PM ET on both DraftKings and FanDuel. Plenty of great baseball today, and our expert analysis is here to guide you through the top pitchers, value plays, and stackable offenses to target.
Whether chasing big GPP prizes or grinding cash games, we’ve got you covered with insights tailored to today’s matchups. Let’s jump right into the key plays and strategies to dominate the slate!
Â
This season's MLB DFS picks and playbook will consist of a pitcher and hitter core players section with written analysis, player pool grid and core stacks section.
The core player section should be used as a starting point for all lineups, you may not be able to use all players in the same lineup, but those players should be the building blocks for you on a given night.
The player pool grid will feature both players from the core player section along with additional plays to help you build a complete lineup. The grid will be broken into top priced players, mid-priced players and value tier players.
The stacks section will bring you are favorite lineups stacks for the day and which players we would look to include in those stacks based on matchups and pricing.
Make sure you subscribe to the Fantasy Alarm YouTube channel so you never miss a show! Also, join the Fantasy Alarm Discord to get your DFS lineup questions answered by our MLB DFS team! MLB Weather: Tuesday, 9/2
Some rain and thunderstorms could delay the start of this game, but they should still play, and have wind blowing in, helping the pitchers deal with the small ballpark.Â
Even more rain and thunderstorms for this game. I would potentially avoid this one, as I think there is a decent chance it will get postponed.Â

Recommended MLB DFS Starting Pitchers
Let's get into today's core pitching plays for our DFS lineups
Core MLB DFS Pitchers
Bryan Woo, Seattle Mariners
Bryan Woo finally didn’t make it 6 innings for the first time this season in his last outing, going 5.2 innings with 6 strikeouts and giving up 2 earned runs against the Padres. He has at least 6 strikeouts in each of his last 8 starts. His strikeouts have continued to tick up as the season goes on and I think he is the best starter on the board today going against the Tampa Bay Rays.
Shota Imanaga, Chicago Cubs
Shota Imanaga has looked great recently. The strikeouts weren’t really there early in the season, but they have come back and he has over a strikeout an inning through his last 6 starts. He has also gone 7 innings in each of his last 3 starts with a 2.57 ERA and a 0.76 WHIP. The Atlanta Braves don’t scare me away from Imanaga here for a good price.Â
Drew Rasmussen, Tampa Bay Rays
Drew Rasmussen has also been showing good length recently, going 6 innings in each of his last 4 starts. The strikeouts also haven’t been there as much for Rasmussen as we are maybe used to, but he has just been consistently great. At this price, I think he provides a great floor and still has some decent upside too, with not many great choices at the pitcher spot after him.Â

Recommended MLB DFS Hitters
Let's check out today's core plays to build our lineups around.
Core MLB DFS Hitters
Tyler Soderstrom, 1B/OF Athletics
Tyler Soderstrom may not have kept up the astronomical pace he set at the beginning of the year, but he has still been a great hitter. Since August 1st he has been slashing .333/.398/.549 with 4 homers. I like the Athletics today, getting to face Miles Mikolas, and Soderstrom is a reasonable price for either 1B or OF.Â
Maikel Garcia, 3B Kansas City Royals
Maikel Garcia just continues to rake. He just hit homers in back-to-back games and then followed it up with a 2-double game. The Royals are easily one of my favorite stacks today going against Mitch Farris, and I think Maikel Garcia has to be considered even if you don’t want to stack other Royals with him.Â
Willy Adames, SS San Francisco Giants
I don’t know if I am all in on Coors today, but I am all in on Willy Adames. He has been crushing the ball recently with 7 homers in his last 11 games. Now he is in Coors and facing Kyle Freeland (I know he is better against righties, but I still like it), and I think he can continue this huge power surge.Â
Ramon Laureano, OF San Diego Padres
Ramon Laureano has been having a career year between the Baltimore Orioles and the San Diego Padres. I was a big fan of him when he broke out with the Oakland back in 2018 and 2019, but then things got a bit derailed for him. He is now having the best season of his career at age 31, slashing .293/.354/.541 with 22 homers. I expect the great hitting to continue today going against the team that traded him earlier in the year.Â
