Let’s start the week on the right foot with some winning lineups today. We have a 5-game main slate in store for us this evening on DraftKings and FanDuel starting at 6:40 PM ET. Today, we have plenty of talent on the diamond and many different ways to build your lineup. Our expert analysis is here to guide you through the top pitchers, value plays, and stackable offenses to target.
Whether chasing big GPP prizes or grinding cash games, we’ve got you covered with insights tailored to today’s matchups. Let’s jump right into the key plays and strategies to dominate the slate!
This season's MLB DFS picks and playbook will consist of a pitcher and hitter core players section with written analysis, player pool grid and core stacks section.
The core player section should be used as a starting point for all lineups, you may not be able to use all players in the same lineup, but those players should be the building blocks for you on a given night.
The player pool grid will feature both players from the core player section along with additional plays to help you build a complete lineup. The grid will be broken into top priced players, mid-priced players and value tier players.
The stacks section will bring you are favorite lineups stacks for the day and which players we would look to include in those stacks based on matchups and pricing.

MLB Weather: Thursday, 6/19
Baltimore Orioles vs Tampa Bay Rays
It's Tampa in the summer. We have a chance for pop up storms that could cause a delay if it hits the stadium, otherwise we should be good to go.
Recommended MLB DFS Starting Pitchers
Let's get into today's core pitching plays for our DFS lineups
Core MLB DFS Pitchers
Cristopher Sanchez, Philadelphia Phillies
Nothing against Spencer Strider or Yoshinobu Yamamoto but my top starter today is Cristopher Sanchez as he draws a good matchup against the Miami Marlins here today.
Not only is their win equity with the Phillies favorites today on the road but Sanchez continues to be one of the best left-handed pitchers in baseball this season, posting an ERA of 2.94 with a career best strikeout rate.
Yoshinobu Yamamoto, Los Angeles Dodgers
If picking between Strider and Yamamoto today I lean the Dodgers “Ace”. Yes, I know Strider is coming off his best start of the season but there has still been some inconsistencies and the Mets lineup is no slouch and while Yamamoto has been knocked around in two of his last three, the matchup against the Padres feels like the better spot to attack.
Drew Rasmussen, Tampa Bay Rays
Rasmussen is a good starting pitcher who has also pitched well at home this season. Yes, the ballpark is geared towards offense and yes the Orioles offense has been better lately, especially against right-handed pitching but I'm betting on the pitcher here much like we saw Ryan Pepiot holding his own against Baltimore a few games ago.
Charlie Morton, Baltimore Orioles
If not going Rasmussen then maybe we look at the pitcher on the other side of that matchup. Yes, Morton was REALLY bad to begin the season, to the put he went to the bullpen but lately he's actually been more than serviceable which culminated with his 10 strikeout performance against the Angels over five shutout innings in his last outing. Now, there is still a ton of risk here given the lefty heavy Rays lineup in a favorable hitters ballpark but if Morton has turned a corner then this is a good price tag.
Recommended MLB DFS Hitters
Let's check out today's core plays to build our lineups around.
Tampa Bay Rays Lefties
I know I said that Charlie Morton has been looking better of late and thats true but even while pitching better he is still getting knocked around by left-handed hitters. Over his last four starts lefties have a .355 wOBA and over his last two starts that number is closer to .400.
Jonathan Aranda, Josh Lowe and Brandon Lowe should be core plays in your lineup today.
Houston Astros Will Be a Problem
The A's are sending yet another lefty to the mound here today with Jacob Lopez and that just isn't what you want to do against this Astros team right now that is starting to hit and especially hit left-handed pitchers where they now lead the league with a .365 wOBA and .226 ISO.
Sutter Health Park continues to be an elite hitters ballpark and stacking the Astros will be a popular play this evening.
Los Angeles Dodgers
Just because you can. The Padres are sending out Ryan Bergert who has been a serviceable pitcher for the Padres over his three starts this season but on a short slate, the Dodgers are always live to be the highest scoring offense.
