This season's MLB DFS picks and playbook will consist of a pitcher and hitter core players section with written analysis, player pool grid and core stacks section.

The core player section should be used as a starting point for all lineups, you may not be able to use all players in the same lineup, but those players should be the building blocks for you on a given night.

The player pool grid will feature both players from the core player section along with additional plays to help you build a complete lineup. The grid will be broken into top priced players, mid-priced players and value tier players.

The stacks section will bring you are favorite lineups stacks for the day and which players we would look to include in those stacks based on matchups and pricing.

Recommended MLB DFS Starting Pitchers

We have an interesting slate in terms of pitching options.  There is a good mix of aces, solid mid-rotation arms and inexperienced pitchers on today’s slate.  Feel free to get creative especially on DraftKings where you need to start 2 pitchers.

High-end options include Logan Webb, Freddy Peralta and George Kirby.  The mid-range include Tyler Glasnow, Andrew Abbott and Dean Kremer.  Paydown options include Jeffrey Springs and Clay Holmes.

Core MLB DFS Pitchers

Andrew Abbott, Cincinnati Reds - DraftKings $8,800 | FanDuel $9,800

Abbott has continued his breakout season.  He enters Saturday with 2.28 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and 112 Ks in 130 IP.

Abbott enters this matchup against the Arizona Diamondbacks with good but limited history against their hitters in the past.  He had one start against the Diamondbacks during the 2024 season.  He put up 34 FanDuel points and 18.2 DraftKings points.  Look for Andrew Abbott to continue his success against the Diamondbacks on Saturday.

Tyler Glasnow, Los Angeles Dodgers - DraftKings $9,200 | FanDuel $9,400

Glansow has allowed 2 runs or fewer in 6 of his 7 starts since returning from the IL.  He enters Saturday with 3.12 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 72 Ks in 57.2 IP.  

Glasnow enters this matchup against the San Diego Padres with good history against their hitters in the past.  He already has one start against the Padres in 2025.  He put up 33 FanDuel points and 19 DraftKings points.  He had three starts against the Padres during the 2024 season.  He put up 40, 52 and 18 FanDuel points and 21.5, 32 and 9.6 DraftKings points in those starts.  Look for Tyler Glasnow to continue his success against the Padres today.

Jeffrey Springs, Sacramento Athletics - DraftKings $7,600 | FanDuel $8,600

Springs is my favorite value option for today.  He enters Saturday with 4.24 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 114 Ks in 140 IP.

Springs enters this matchup against the Seattle Mariners with good history against their hitters in the past.  He already has three starts against the Mariners in 2025.  He put up 46, 21 and 55 FanDuel points and 27.7, 11.1 and 33.1 DraftKings points in those starts.  He had one start against the Mariners during the 2024 season.  He put up 42 FanDuel points and 27.5 DraftKings points.  Look for Jeffrey Springs to continue his success against the Mariners on Saturday.

Dean Kremer, Baltimore Orioles - DraftKings $8,500 | FanDuel $9,100

Kremer has posted a quality start in 7 of his last 11 starts.  He enters Saturday with 3.97 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and 123 Ks in 143 IP.  

Kremer enters this matchup against the Houston Astros with decent history against their hitters in the past.  He already has one start against the Astros in 2025.  He put up 52 FanDuel points and 31.4 DraftKings points.  He had one start against the Astros during the 2024 season.  He put up 28 FanDuel points and 12.1 DraftKings points.  Look for Dean Kremer to continue his success against the Astros today.

 

 

Recommended MLB DFS Hitters

It is an interesting slate for hitters on Saturday.  We have a few favorable matchups on today's slate.  We also have a few inexperienced pitchers in Cade Horton, Victor Mederos and Mick Abel.  Feel free to mix and match your hitters across multiple lineups.

New York Mets, Cincinnati Reds, Chicago Cubs, Minnesota Twins and Los Angeles Angels should be the front runners in terms of top teams to stack.

Core MLB DFS Hitters

Juan Soto, New York Mets - DraftKings $5,900 | FanDuel $3,800 

Soto has shown his upside lately.  He has at least one hit in 11 of his last 14 games.  He has 2 multi hit games and 7 HRs during this stretch.

Soto has good history in the past against expected Atlanta Braves starting pitcher Cal Quantrill.  He is 1 for 2 against Quantrill in his career.  Look for another strong performance out of Juan Soto and the New Yorks Met lineup on Saturday.

Teoscar Hernandez, Los Angeles Dodgers - DraftKings $4,700 | FanDuel $3,300 

Hernandez has been heating up as of late.  He has at least one hit in 8 of his last 10 games.  He has 3 multi hit games and 3 HRs during this time span. 

Hernandez has good history in the past against San Diego Padres expected starting pitcher Nestor Cortes.  He is 6 for 15 with 1 HR against Cortes in his career.  Teoscar Hernandez looks like a solid one-of play or key piece of a Los Angeles Dodgers stack for today’s slate.

Ozzie Albies, Atlanta Braves - DraftKings $3,900 | FanDuel $2,800 

Albies has appeared to turn the corner lately.  He has at least one hit in 6 of his last 8 games.  He has 3 multi hit games and 1 HR during that time span.

Albies has good history against Clay Holmes, the expected starting pitcher for the New York Mets.  He is 4 for 7 against Holmes in his career.  Look for another strong performance out of Ozzie Albies on Saturday.

Francisco Lindor, New York Mets - DraftKings $5,700 | FanDuel $3,500 

Lindor has been on fire as of late.  He is currently on a 10 game hitting streak.   He has 7 multi hit games and 4 HRs during this stretch.

Lindor has good history against Atlanta Braves expected starting pitcher Cal Quantrill.  He is 1 for 3 against Quantrill in his career.  Francisco Lindor looks like a solid one-of play or key piece of a New York Mets stack for today’s slate.
