This season's MLB DFS picks and playbook will consist of a pitcher and hitter core players section with written analysis, player pool grid and core stacks section.

The core player section should be used as a starting point for all lineups, you may not be able to use all players in the same lineup, but those players should be the building blocks for you on a given night.

The player pool grid will feature both players from the core player section along with additional plays to help you build a complete lineup. The grid will be broken into top priced players, mid-priced players and value tier players.

The stacks section will bring you our favorite lineups stacks for the day and which players we would look to include in those stacks based on matchups and pricing.

There will also be a daily MLB DFS Show with a variety of hosts ranging from myself, Jon Impemba, Howard Bender, and James Grande. The MLB DFS Show will give you an initial outlook on the day's MLB DFS slate and should give you a good base for the start of your research each day!

Los Angeles Angels vs Baltimore Orioles

  • Chance of rain throughout the day that could lead to a potential delay.

Recommended MLB DFS Starting Pitchers

We have an intriguing main slate in terms of pitching today.  There are plenty of solid pitching options for us to choose from.

High-end options include Hunter Brown and Jacob deGrom.  The mid-range includes Spencer Strider and Cristopher Sanchez.  We also have a handful of paydown options with upside in Jose Quintana, Tomoyuki Sugano and Tyler Anderson.

Core MLB DFS Pitchers

Hunter Brown, Houston Astros - DraftKings $10,300 | FanDuel $10,800

Brown has been one of the most consistent pitchers throughout the 2025 season. He enters Saturday with 1.82 ERA, 0.96 WHIP and 93 Ks in 79 IP.

Brown enters this matchup against the Minnesota Twins with limited history against their hitters in the past.  He has one start against the Twins already in 2025.  Where he put up 46 FanDuel points and 26.5 DraftKings points.  He had two starts against the Twins during the 2024 season.  He put up 15 and 34 FanDuel points and 3.1 and 17.9 DraftKings points in those starts.  Look for Brown to continue his more recent success against the Twins today.

Cristopher Sanchez, Philadelphia Phillies - DraftKings $9,200 | FanDuel $9,600

Sanchez has been a strong option through 13 starts withs only one truly bad start on the season.  He enters Saturday with 3.10 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and 83 Ks in 72.2 IP.

Sanchez enters this matchup against the Toronto Blue Jays with good history against their hitters in the past.  He has one start against the Blue Jays already in 2025.  He put up 37 FanDuel points and 18.7 DraftKings points.  He also had two starts against the Blue Jays during the 2024 season.  He put up 46 and 43 FanDuel points and 26.2 and 23 DraftKings points. Look for Sanchez to continue his success against the Blue Jays on Saturday.

Jacob deGrom, Texas Rangers - DraftKings $10,300 | FanDuel $10,500

deGrom got an extra day of rest as his start was pushed back from Friday to Saturday.  He enters Saturday with 2.12 ERA, 0.92 WHIP and 74 Ks in 76.1 IP.  

He faces a Chicago White Sox lineup that he has good but very limited history against in the past.  He did not pitch against the White Sox during the 2024 season.  Look for deGrom to continue his strong recent success on Saturday.  

Jose Quintana, Milwaukee Brewers - DraftKings $7,600 | FanDuel $8,000

Quintana is my favorite paydown pitcher for Saturday’s slate. He is also another pitcher who got an extra day of rest this week.  He enters Saturday with 2.66 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and 31 Ks in 44 IP.  

Quintana enters this matchup against the St. Louis Cardinals with good history against their hitters in the past.  He has one start against the Cardinals already in 2025.  He put up 36 FanDuel points and 20.5 DraftKings points.  He had one start against the Cardinals during the 2024 season.  He put up 34 FanDuel points and 19.6 DraftKings points in those starts.  Look for Quintana to continue his success against the Cardinals on Saturday.

 

 

Recommended MLB DFS Hitters

It could be a tricky slate for hitters as we have a lot of viable pitching options on today’s slate.  Feel free to mix and match your hitters across multiple lineups.

Kansas City Royals, Milwaukee Brewers, Atlanta Braves, Texas Rangers and Philadelphia Phillies should be the front runners in terms of top teams to stack.

Core MLB DFS Hitters

Brent Rooker, Athletics - DraftKings $5,100 | FanDuel $3,400

Rooker has been really solid as of late.  He has at least one hit in 13 of his last 16 games started.  He has 6 multi hit games and 3 HRs during this stretch.

Rooker has good history in the past against expected Royals starting pitcher Michael Lorenzen.  He is 3 for 7 against Lorenzen in his career.  Rooker looks like a solid one-of play for Saturday’s slate.

Gunnar Henderson, Baltimore Orioles - DraftKings $5,000 | FanDuel $3,100

Henderson has been heating up as of late.  He is currently on a 6 game hitting streak.  He has 3 multi hit games and 0 HRs during this time span.  

He has fared well against Angels expected starting pitcher Tyler Anderson in the past.  He is 4 for 7 with 1 HR against Anderson in his career.  Henderson looks like a solid one-of play for Saturday’s slate.

Alec Bohm, Philadelphia Phillies - DraftKings $3,800 | FanDuel $2,900

Bohm has been a solid option since taking over at 1B in place of injured Bryce Harper.  He has at least one hit in 6 of his last 7 games started.  He has 3 multi hit games and 1 HR during this stretch.

Bohm has good history in the past against expected Blue Jays starting pitcher Bowden Francis  He is 2 for 2 against Francis in his career.  Look for a strong performance out of Alec Bohm and the Phillies lineup on Saturday.

Jackson Chourio, Milwaukee Brewers - DraftKings $5,000 | FanDuel $3,500

Chourio looks like a solid value for today’s slate.  He is currently on a 5 game hitting streak.  He has 1 multi game and 2 HRs during that time span.

Chourio is 1 for 1 against Andre Pallante, the expected starting pitcher for the St. Louis Cardinals.  Look for a strong performance out of Jackson Chourio and the Brewers lineup on Saturday.
