MLB Weather Today, 8/6

Nationals vs. Phillies - Some rain in the forecast but there shouldn't be any interruptions once the game kicks off.

White Sox vs Red Sox - There's a possibility of a delay but nothing that should impact that game too much. Nine innings will be played here.

Marlins vs Braves - Rain in the forecast but not enough to make us concerned in any real way.

MLB DFS Lineup Picks: Starting Pitchers

MLB DFS Top Pitchers

Cristopher Sanchez (PHI) (FanDuel)

Analysis: On a small slate, Sanchez stands alone as the best option of the day against a Nationals lineup without James Wood. Top FD pitcher of the day.

Ranger Suarez (BOS)

Analysis: It remains to be seen how cautious the Red Sox are with Ranger Suarez and his groin considering he's made two starts since being activated and hasn't thrown higher than 65 pitches. He's the best pitcher on DKs slate but what does his workload look like?

MLB DFS Value Pitchers

Bailey Ober (MIN)

Analysis: Bailey Ober's been better since coming off the IL and the Royals are a below average offense against righties. They're 17th in OPS, 19th in wOBA, and 20th in wRC+ against righties on the year. Ober's appealing in this spot.

Martin Perez (ATL)

Analysis: The Marlins have been significantly better against righties than lefties this year, so here lies Martin Perez. Miami is 23rd in wRC+ and has a 23.4% K-rate against southpaws. Perez is coming off his best start of 2026 and has had some really good games this year.

Top Options For Strikeouts

K-prop lines and value ratings are incorporated below for DFS and prop context. These are the arms building the highest strikeout ceilings on the 9-game slate.

Our model identifies these arms as the highest-ceiling plays for Alt-K lines today:

Cristopher Sanchez: 27.9% K% (10.5 K/9) (FanDuel)

Ranger Suarez: 25.7% K% (9.5 K/9)

Walker Buehler: 20.2% K% (7.9 K/9)

Best Odds For A Win

The following MLB DFS picks offer a combination of favorable win odds, sustainable ERA and xFIP metrics, and soft opponent matchups. Each carries K-prop lines worth noting alongside their DFS value at reduced ownership relative to the top tier.

MLB DFS Lineup Picks: Stacks & Hitters

MLB DFS Top Hitters

Kyle Schwarber (OF, PHI) & Bryce Harper (1B, PHI) (FanDuel)

Analysis: The Phillies are in a great spot against Miles Mikolas today. Mikolas struggles with both splits and both lefties have at least .280 ISOs against right-handers.

Corbin Carroll (OF, ARI)

Analysis: Super high ceiling with some really big fantasy games of late. Carroll's duel threat ability makes him very appealing in fantasy against a struggling Walker Buehler.

Wilyer Abreu (OF, BOS)

Analysis: Wilyer Abreu just hits home runs in BUNCHES, man. He's hit four home runs over his last three games and is already up to nine bombs since the All-Star break. He faces a guy serving them up to LHH in Luis Castillo.

Matt Olson (1B, ATL)

Analysis: The one thing Janson Junk has struggled with is left-handed bats. Lefties have a .172 ISO and .371 wOBA against him and Olson himself has a .302 ISO and .388 wOBA against right-handed hurlers.

MLB DFS Value Hitters

Nick Sogard (2B, BOS)

Analysis: A second basemen free of charge at the top of the best team in league's offense. Yup, sounds good. Sogard is an easy roster against a guy who struggles to get lefties out.

Heriberto Hernandez (OF, MIA)

Analysis: The one thing Heriberto Hernandez has done this year is crush left-handed pitching. He crushes them to the tune of a .340 ISO and has double-dong upside in this spot.

Ryan Waldschmidt (OF, ARI) & Nolan Arenado (3B, ARI)

Analysis: The Diamondbacks have some really cheap options raking right about now. Over his last 10 games, Ryan Waldschmidt is hitting .467 and Arenado has a .167 ISO vs. RHP to boot.
