Sitting on a 1.19 ERA over his last four starts and a 2.00 ERA dating back to June 10, Imanaga has quietly become the ace of Chicago's rotation while missing most of its regular front-line arms to injury. His last time out was six scoreless innings against the Pirates on just four hits, extending that dominant stretch into 21 starts and 113 strikeouts on the season. Tonight he gets a Yankees lineup missing Judge, Stanton, and Bellinger, batting just .220 with a .279 OBP over its last 24 games, one of the worst offensive stretches in baseball right now. Tonight he faces Cincinnati, a team he owns at a 1.38 career ERA with 52 strikeouts across seven starts, a dominant history against this exact lineup. The Reds strike out against right-handers at 25.3% this season, rounding out a matchup that lines up about as well as any on the board tonight. Do not overthink it.
