What is up, Fantasy Alarm family? Our MLB DFS Projections have flagged two standout strikeout plays tonight on ParlayPlay: an AL wins leader looking to rebound and a home-dominant lefty who's a completely different animal at Tropicana Field. Built off season stats, current form, and matchup splits against lefties and righties, let's get into the picks. For a deeper look at how tonight's arms project pitch by pitch, check out our MLB DFS Pitcher Projections, and line-shop today's strikeout numbers with our MLB Odds Finder before you build your board.

Sonny Gray MLB ParlayPlay Pick: Higher than 4.5 Strikeouts

Gray leads the American League with 12 wins and a 2.78 ERA to go with 93 strikeouts, a career year at 36. His one bad start of the year still generated a season-high 12 whiffs on just 75 pitches, proof the underlying stuff was sharp even in a rough outing. Tonight he heads to Oakland, and the Athletics strike out against right-handers at a solid 21.6% clip, a number that could climb further with Nick Kurtz banged up after exiting Wednesday's game with a bruised forearm. That is the number. That is the play.

Shane McClanahan MLB ParlayPlay Pick: Higher than 4.5 Strikeouts

McClanahan is 9-6 with a 3.09 ERA and turns into a near-unhittable arm at Tropicana Field, a 1.88 ERA and 0.93 WHIP at home. Tonight he gets Texas, a Rangers lineup striking out against lefties at a 24.8% clip, with Josh Jung already sidelined and Corey Seager back in the lineup tonight but returning from injury at just a .182 average on the year. Do not overthink it.
