Yandy Diaz MLB ParlayPlay Fantasy Pick: More Than 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBI

Yandy Diaz has been a key piece of the Tampa Bay Rays’ potent offense all season. He finds himself in an excellent spot to stay productive today against Baltimore Orioles starter Trevor Rogers. 

Diaz has been especially effective at home, batting .348 with a .994 OPS this season. He’s also hitting .300 with an .875 OPS against left-handed pitching. On top of that, the Rays’ designated hitter is swinging a hot bat lately, with a .315 average over his last 12 games and .272 over his past 21 contests. 

Rogers, meanwhile, enters this matchup with a 4.21 ERA. He’s struggled against right-handed hitters, allowing a .275 batting average and .768 OPS in the split. That sets up well for Diaz, who is 6-for-10 in his career against Rogers. Plus, he’s absolutely crushed Baltimore pitching this season, to the tune of a .471 average and 1.432 OPS. 

Troy Melton MLB ParlayPlay Fantasy Pick: Less Than 4.5 Hits Allowed

Troy Melton has been dominant for the Detroit Tigers this season. We’re backing the right-hander to keep that success going at home today against the Chicago White Sox in a favorable matchup. 

Through 13 starts, Melton owns a stellar 1.46 ERA and 0.90 WHIP. He’s been remarkably consistent at limiting hits and runs. Melton has allowed four hits or fewer in 10 of his 13 outings, and he’s surrendered two earned runs or fewer in 12 of his starts. 

Melton has shown the elite ability to limit hard contact. He’s allowing a 5.2% barrel rate (84th-percentile) and 34.0% hard-hit rate (81st-percentile). That should play well against the White Sox, who are batting just .210 against right-handed pitching in August. They’re also striking out at a league-worst 30.4% clip vs. righties this month. 

Plus, Melton has previously owned this matchup. In June, he allowed just one hit – a solo homer – over six innings against the White Sox. He also tossed seven innings of one-run ball against them in May. Given Melton’s continued dominance and Chicago’s struggles against righties, this pick should cash on Saturday.
