Framber Valdez ParlayPlay MLB Pick: OVER 1.5 Walks Allowed

Valdez has walked multiple batters in four straight outings, and five of his last six. In his four starts since the All-Star break, his walk rate sits at 10.1%, while his first-pitch strike rate is down eight percentage points from his season mark! Through 0-1 counts, Valdez has a minuscule 4.2% walk rate this season, but through 1-0 counts, his walk rate skyrockets to 15.6%. He draws a tough Guardians lineup today, and in an earlier matchup against Cleveland, the Detroit southpaw walked four batters across 5 IP.

Out of the All-Star break, the Guardians boast a top-10 walk rate at 9.7%, but more specifically against lefties, they are tied for the league’s highest walk rate at 13.2% since the break. Also, this isn’t some newfound success either, as Cleveland has a 10.9% walk rate for the entire 2026 season against southpaws, which is tied for the third-highest mark in baseball.

Drew Rasmussen ParlayPlay MLB Pick: UNDER 1.5 Walks Allowed

When you have a matchup that features a pitcher who doesn’t walk batters versus an offense that isn’t walking much of late, you have to pay attention to it! Rasmussen has the second-lowest walk rate in Major League Baseball, and he also sports a top-10 first-pitch strike rate (66.4%). He’s cleared this line in six of his last seven outings, and he has a sub-5% walk rate on the road this season.

Now, looking at the Athletics, who have the league’s lowest walk rate since the All-Star break, coming in at 6.2%. You know what’s worse than a 6.2% walk rate since the break? How about a 5.5% walk rate over the last two weeks! They haven’t walked much against righties in the second half of the season either, and Rasmussen does a phenomenal job of limiting the free passes.

I’d expect that trend to continue today for Rasmussen, who has a 0.72 ERA and 1.80 BB/9 over his last 25 IP.
