MLB Week 15 Injury Report Update: Pitchers

Tyler Glasnow, Los Angeles Dodgers - Shoulder

Glasnow’s next start could come with the big league club. Roster Resource is the listed starter on Friday, July 11.

Spencer Schwellenbach, Atlanta Braves - Elbow

Schwellenback suffered a fractured elbow, resulting in a trip to the IL. The team is hopeful he can return to pitching in September.

Brandon Woodruff, Milwaukee Brewers - Shoulder/Ankle/Elbow

Let’s try this again! Woodruff is still on track to make his season debut on Sunday.

Sean Manaea, New York Mets - Oblique/Elbow

So long as there are no setbacks in his next rehab appearance, Manaea should be activated just before the All-Star break.

Bailey Ober, Minnesota Twins - Hip

Ober was hit the injured list with a left hip impingement. Connor Gillispie could be an option in the rotation for Minnesota while Ober is on the shelf.

Kodai Senga, New York Mets - Hamstring

Senga is heading out on a rehab assignment, and a return should come not too long after the All-Star break.

Clarke Schmidt, New York Yankees - Forearm

Schmidt left Thursday’s start early with forearm tightness, and the team has already placed him on the injured list. An MRI will reveal the damage.

MLB Week 15 Injury Report Update: Hitters

Max Muncy, Los Angeles Dodgers - Knee

I’d call it a positive that Muncy only came away with a bone bruise, as it looked like it could have been a lot worse. He was placed on the IL with the expectation of missing a month and a half.

Yordan Alvarez, Houston Astros - Hand

Nothing here sounds good. They can say it’s positive, but another season with misleading injury info from Houston.

Ha-Seong Kim, Tampa Bay Rays - Shoulder

Kim will make his regular season debut today and figures to be a stalwart in the Tampa Bay lineup moving forward.

Jacob Wilson, Athletics - Hamstring

Wilson is day-to-day with some soreness in his right hamstring. The AL Rookie of the Year contender hasn’t played since June 30th.

Zack Gelof, Athletics - Ribs

Gelof’s rehab assignment is nearing an end, and could be activated as early as today. He hit .264 over 34 ABs in this rehab assignment.

Christian Moore, Los Angeles Angels - Thumb

Moore is dealing with a sprained thumb, and he’ll hit the injured list.

Kerry Carpenter, Detroit Tigers - Hamstring

Carpenter was placed on the IL with a hamstring strain, but it didn’t stop him from legging out a triple!

Matt Chapman, San Francisco Giants - Hand

Barring any setbacks, there’s a good chance Chapman returns before the All-Star break.
