Hitters ----

Play of the Day: Ryan Zimmerman-- There are plenty of mid-range options tonight, if looking to pay up for pitching. Zimmerman went deep twice in his 4-4, four run outing last night. It was his second two HR game over his last 10 games. Washington is projected to score over five runs again tonight, and Zimmerman is 1-1 with a homer off of Straily.

Top Play: Gary Sanchez-- Sanchez broke out of a three-game hitless streak by going deep for the 18th time last night. He faces Estrada in Toronto tonight, who has a 7.39 ERA since his last win back on May 27th. Sanchez is 4-11 off of Estrada, with all four hits going for homers.

Value Play: Dexter Fowler-- Fowler is on a seven-game walk streak, including three walks last night. Over his last three games, Fowler is 4-9, with a stolen base, two doubles, a triple, and five runs. Fowler is 2-6 with a HR off of Hammel.

GPP Play: Michael Conforto-- With Harper, Stanton, and Davis checking in as top OF options, pivoting to Conforto makes for a nice GPP option. Over his last four games, Conforto has two games where he went deep, and two games where he failed to record a hit. Velasquez has allowed eight runs in 11 innings to the Mets this season, and Conforto is 4-7, with two homers off of him.

Pitchers ----

Play of the Day:  Jacob deGrom-- deGrom went seven innings, allowing one earned run while striking out 12 batters in his last start vs. the Phillies on June 30th, and is a perfect 5-0 over nine career starts vs. them. He’s held the Phillies to a .207 BAA, and has at least eight strikeouts in five of his last seven starts.

Top Play: James Paxton -- Paxton is going for his eighth win in eight starts tonight. He was a perfect 6-0 in July, and held the Royals to four hits for the win in his first August start. Paxton is 4-2, with a 2.04 ERA in nine career starts vs. the Angels. Paxton has at least seven Ks in eight of his last nine starts.

GPP Play: Lance Lynn--  The Royals and Cardinals series has produced plenty of runs this week, and Lynn takes the mound behind his streaking offense tonight vs. the Royals at home. Lynn is 4-0, with a 1.21 ERA over his last six starts. Best used for GPPs tonight, as Lynn only has one double digit strikeout game this season, and is 0-1, with a 6.38 in three career starts vs the Royals.

GPP Play: Carlos Rodon--  Peacock has won his last seven decisions for the Astros, but you can go cheaper with Rodon, who is 1-0, with a 1.47 ERA in three career starts vs. the Astros. Rodon has the K-upside on his side, having struck out 31 batters to just five walks over his last three starts.
