This wasn't the type of performance we have grown accustomed to seeing from Mujica, but at least he escaped without blowing the save. 21 PC-16 ST (8/21/13) (SU) Trevor Rosenthal (R)--Pitched a scoreless ninth inning on Thursday night allowing one hit on 10 pitches thrown in a non-save situation. Rosenthal has now pitched back-to-back days, so expect him to get the night off on Friday. 10 PC-6 ST (8/22/13) (MR) Randy Choate (L)--Pitched a scoreless eighth inning on Saturday allowing one hit on 10 pitches thrown. Choate continues to get the job done for the Cardinals, having recorded three scoreless relief appearances over the last four days. 10 PC-8 ST (8/17/13) Injured– Jason Motte (Elbow), Fernando Salas (Shoulder)Washington Nationals(CL) Solid Rafael Soriano (R)--Recorded his 33rd save of the season Friday night despite allowing one run on three hits in the ninth inning. Soriano was supposed to be unavailable after pitching three straight days, but Drew Storen failed to record an out in the inning making the Nationals have to turn to their top reliever. 11 PC-9 ST (8/23/13) (SU) Tyler Clippard (R)--Pitched a scoreless 10th inning on Thursday retiring all three batters he faced in order. Clippard has now pitched three straight days, so expect him to get at least Friday off to recover from the last few days. 14 PC-11 ST (8/22/13) (MR) Drew Storen (R)--Failed to record an out in his appearance on Friday night surrendering two runs on one hit and one walk.
