DraftKings Recommended Lineup June 29, 2013 (Late Games)Ready to turn $5 into $50k? @DraftKings is giving you the chance now, and it’s through one-day fantasy baseball games http://bit.ly/17fdiMCAll lineups are based off of a $50,000 salary cap featured at DraftKings, you best option in daily fantasy sports gaming. Lineups consist of a two pitchers, one catcher, one first baseman, one second baseman, one third baseman, one shortstop and three outfielders. All scoring and contest rules for DraftKings contests can be found here.P: Francisco Liriano (PIT) vs. MIL--$9,400--There aren't many pitchers in all of baseball better than Francisco Lirano right now, and his services should be taken advantage of in tonight's contests. Lirano is sitting on a 6-3 record through his first nine starts of 2013, in which he has gone at least six innings in his previous seven contests. Not only has he been consistent in the inning department, he has now logged 61 strikeouts through 54.2 innings, looking like the Cy Young candidate from his rookie season. The Brewers offense has been sputtering as of late, so it would be wise to take advantage of this situation and pay the extra money for this elite starting pitcher.P: Zach Britton (BAL)  vs. NYY--$5,200--Having spent a good portion of today's salary cap on Francisco Liriano, it was time to find a cheap pitching option to fill the second SP slot. Although Zach Britton may be on the cusp of being send back to Triple-A, this is the type of matchup that could earn him a few more turns in the Orioles rotation. The Yankees have struggled against left-handed opposition this season, coming into tonight's game with a .237 BA and .650 OPS against South Paws as a team. That ranks the Yankees near the bottom of both categories and makes them an easy target for DFS  contests.C: A.J. Pierzynski (TEX) vs. CIN--$4,100--There haven't been many catchers more consistent than A.J. Pierzynski over the last few seasons, and in terms of DFS, he has been a catcher to target on a nightly basis. Pierzynski has never faced off against Mike Leake, but he has posted a .304 BA against right-handed pitchers this season, with all seven of his home runs coming versus righties. I am expecting the Rangers to put on a clinic in this game, so the more Rangers used for tonight's contests the better.1B: Mitch Moreland (TEX) vs. CIN--$4,100--Prior to his stint on the disabled list Mitch Moreland was on fire, and appears to now be turning it back on. He has now hit safely in four straight games, including a 1-for-3 performance last night. As I previously stated, the Rangers offense should be stacked up against the Reds tonight, and Moreland's production against right-handed pitching makes him one of those players to use. Moreland has hit 11 home runs against right-handed opposition this season, including six at the friendly confines of his home field, where he has a .321 batting average through 84 at-bats.2B: Ian Kinsler (TEX) vs. CIN--$5,100--Ian Kinsler may have just two hits in his last four games, but tonight is the type of matchup that could get him back in the swing of things. To continue with my theme of picking on Mike Leake, Kinsler has hit right-handed pitching very well this season, sporting a .303 BA with seven home runs and 22 RBIs. He has also been on a tear playing at home this season, with 19 of his 28 RBIs coming at the Ballpark in Arlington. The other options at his position are not as favorable as his, so there is really no reason to look for value here.SS: Hanley Ramirez (LAD) vs. PHI--$4,100--I am a big proponent of not starting players against stud pitchers, but it was hard to ignore Hanley Ramirez's career stats against Phillies starter Cliff Lee. Through 10 career at-bats against Lee, Ramirez is 5-for-10 with two doubles and a home run against, which makes him worth his rather cheap price tag. Outside of Ramirez, it is tough to find a matchup of this caliber, so it makes no sense to try and be cute at shortstop.3B: Logan Forsythe (SD) @ MIA--$4,700--Logan Forsythe continues to rake for the Padres, recording another multi-hit game on Friday night, going 3-for-4 with a home run and two RBIs. After last night's performance, that gives Forsythe five multi-hit games in his last 10 contests, which has caused his price to increase throughout all DFS sites. The fact that you are able to plug him into third base at DraftKings gives him even more value, considering the only other solid option for tonight is Miguel Cabrera, who is over $2,000 more expensive that the Padres second baseman.OF: Giancarlo Stanton (MIA) vs. SD--$5,000--It is tough these days being Giancarlo Stanton, as the front office failed to give him a solid surrounding cast which has hurt his fantasy value. Some how Stanton is still managing to muster up quality games and has now hit safely in four straight contests, including two straight mutli-hit games. Stanton has hit South Paws very well this season in a small sample size, sporting a .281 BA with two home runs and six free passes. His price tag is a little high for my liking, but I am a firm believer in riding players while they are trending in the right direction.OF: Jay Bruce (CIN) @ TEX--$4,700--After hitting six home runs in six games last week, Jay Bruce has cooled off, and has now recorded just four hits in his last four games, but has a solid matchup tonight against the Rangers. Considering how the ball carries out of the Ballpark in Arlington, Bruce should feel right at home, against a starting pitcher that is below average at best. I expect this game to be high scoring, with the middle of the Reds lineup being a major factor in the otucome of this one.OF: Kendrys Morales (SEA) vs. CHC--$3,400--Kendrys Morales is coming off of a multi-hit performance on Friday night, going 2-for-4 with a double and one RBI, and will come in cheap today with the Cubs having their ace on the mound. Morales has hit left-handed pitchers a lot better than right-handed pitchers this season, but two-thirds of his home runs have some against righties, which makes him attractive at his current price. I am not saying he is going to have a monster game, but with the way this team was constructed I had to take a chance somewhere.Total Salary: $48,800Always pay close attention to the weather!
