Chicago White Sox vs. Tyson Ross

Jose Abreu, Avisail Garcia, Yoan Moncada, Leury Garcia, Nicky Delmonico

Ross has been abysmal this season, going 3-2 with a 7.11 ERA over eight starts for the Rangers.  He has already faced the White Sox this season and had was tagged for four earned runs over five innings.  It is going to be a hot and humid night in Texas on Thursday which should bode well for the hitters on both teams but especially the White Sox as they face this gas can.

Texas Rangers vs. Reynaldo Lopez

Adrian Beltre, Shin-Soo Choo, Elvis Andrus, Joey Gallo, Nomar Mazara, Rougned Odor

There’s no doubt that Reynaldo Lopez has the stuff to be a real deal major league pitcher but in his limited exposure to the major league game has yet to really dominate.  Enter the Texas Rangers who are baseball’s hottest hitting team over the last week with a .322 average and an OPS of .948.  The Rangers will benefit from being at home on a hot Texas night which should help those fly balls carry.  Lopez was solid in his White Sox debut, allowing two earned runs over six innings but he also walked three which has been an issue for him during his major league tenure.
