Happy Saturday everybody! We have an 11-game main slate on both sites and it's really, really nice. We have three elite pitchers on the mound and each one of them have beautiful matchups. We have some nice options in the middle and lower tiers also, as well as some juiy matchups to attack.
As I write this at 2:00 AM EST, it looks as if there are three spots that could be impacted by rain (CIN vs. PITT, PHI vs. MIA, TOR vs. BAL) so we'll keep an eye on them all day. I have the Playbook up VERY early since the main slate starts at 7:05 PM ET, so make sure you're checking back for players that i've added throughout the day. I'll make sure to keep note of who I have added on the forums.
Weather Update #1 (1:00 PM): CIN vs. PIT and TOR vs. BAL are risky as of 1 PM today. Thunderstorms during the game are more than likely going to cause a delay and it could be worse. We have a long time until lineup lock so check back later for another update.
Weather Update #2 (5:30 PM): CIN vs. PIT, TOR vs. BAL and TB vs. CWS have delay risk. The riskiest of the bunch seems to be TB vs. CWS as the in-game rain could have an impact on the starting pitching in this one.
We're not writing up the early slate as it's unfortunately DK specific. If you are playing the 5-gamer on DK, avoid cash games. There is too much randomness with the rosters being expanded and simply not enough games to choose from. If you ignore that advice, Morton and Lynn are the safest options on the board, while both pitchers (Tanaka & Pomeranz) in the Red Sox/Yankees game are your top GPP options. The Dodgers and Cubs are very obviously the best stacks of the slate and will be extremely high owned.
