It is the last day before the All-Star Break with 11 games in the main slate and 4 in the late slate for FanDuel. It is 12 games on Draftkings for the early slate and 3 games late. Go figure they had to be different. The DFS MLB playbook and rankings are based on the main slate of 11 games. The late 4 games I will have a brief write-up listed below on some key areas to target.
As far as the main slate, the pitching is weak with very few options to choose from. Which means you will likely need to win with some bats. There are some playable pitchers out there but all have some risks. Please keep in mind in that is the last day before the break so some teams maybe a little more agressive with resting guys as well as managers yanking pitchers early if they have bullpen guys that are rested. The weather looks clear as of this point but it always worth keeping an eye on.
For the 4 game late slate, the pitching you will want to target is Madison Bumgarner as the clear cut best optoin or if you want to go cheaper Kenta Maeda along with even cheaper options in Chrisitan Friedrich and A.J. Griffin. As far as bats go, you will want to target the right-handed bats for the Rangers and the Coors Field game. You can also take a look at the left-handed bats of the Giants. The hard part is that getting Coors Exposure will probably require getting off Madison Bumgarner.
There will be optimal lineups posted for the main slate on Drafkings, FanDuel and Fantasy Aces (All-Day slate). I will also post a GPP only line-up for the late slate for Dratkings and FanDuel.
