Welcome to the Playbook for Monday, April 10th
What a first week it was. And what did we learn? We’ll, it’s not so much what we learned as it it what we confirmed. We confirmed that projecting baseball on a daily basis is tough to do. Who would’ve predicted that Jhoulys Chacin would out-duel Madison Bumgarner on Saturday or that the Rockies and Dodgers would have combined for three runs in the Coors Field 2017 debut with a rookie and Ryu on the mound? Either way, we survived and we are back for more. A ten-game slate is on the horizon today and we’ll do all we can to identify the best plays.
This Playbook will feature those in the main slates across DraftKings, FanDuel and Yahoo! DFS. If you are an early bird and are looking for Optimal Lineups for the early slate, I’ll have those posted early on for your viewing pleasure.
Use this playbook in conjunction with the Hitting and Pitching coaches and the lineup generator to build your best chance to cash in today.
Value Plays
There are a few players that I didn’t do a full write-up on, but like for value plays and may make it into my Optimal Lineups. They include:
C - Rene Rivera (NYM)
2B - Kolten Wong (STL)
SS - Erick Aybar (SD) - DK value
Injuries
You may want to stay away from the following players due to lingering injuries:
1B - Hanley Ramirez (BOS) - flu
2B - Trea Turner (WSH) - hamstring
3B - Josh Donaldson (TOR) - calf
OF - Jackie Bradley (BOS) - knee
OF - Matt Kemp (ATL) - hamstring
Weather Report
Weather looks good for the most part. It’s warm across the country so we don’t have any of those colder games to feast on. Rain is expected in Chicago but not anything to worry about currently. We’ll keep an eye on it.
