Fantasy Baseball Daily League Sleepers, Value Plays, & MLB Daily Lineup Decisions for July 6th

by Michael Pichan (@FantasyNomad)

P Matt Moore Rays ($7,200, 20.5% of cap at Fan Duel- Play Now): Moore for less, than a few other star quality pitchers. I use the term "star" loosely with Matt Moore, but today he should reach star status facing a White Sox team that has the worst team batting average against lefties. Moore has double-digit strikeout potential and comes at about 3-5% less than others worth considering like Darvish, Sale, and Bumgarner,

If you do not like the fact that Moore is facing off against Chris Sale and/or you wanted a roll the dice pitcher that comes at a much cheaper price tag than consider Stephen Fife Dodgers (one of the bottom few pitchers in terms of salary cap on some sites) versus the Giants. Fife has registered double-digit Fantasy Points on Fan Duel in five of his last six starts and the Giants have scored the third fewest runs vs. right-handed pitching among National teams this season.

Questions:

@Kdogusa69 Matt Moore or Chris Sale:

I Like Moore at the discount, but Sale is the safer bet if you don't mind spending the extra money.

@jcraig24 Matt Dominguez or Nick Punto

Punto is useless pretty much, at least Dominguez has power potential, which he showcased in the three at-bats against Darvish in his career going yard twice.

OF Norichika Aoki Brewers ($4,200, 8.4% of cap at Draft Kings - Play Now): You get the L/R matchup between Schafer and Mets Shaun Marcum and eight of Aoki's nine stolen bases have come against RHP.

OF Lenoys Martin Rangers ($6,850, 6.9% of cap at Draft Day - Play Now): Martin is hitting over .380 in his last 60 at-bats and is facing an Astros Dallas Keuchel that has had his troubles versus lefties (LHH hitting .309)

OF Kirk Nieuwenhuis Mets ($5,350, 5.4% of cap at Draft Day - Play Now): Nieuwenhuis is coming off a career night where he reached based successfully six times and drove in five runs and he and the Mets have a favorable matchup against Brewers righty Yovani Gallardo in hitter friendly Miller Park.

1B Ike Davis Mets ($61,000, 6.1% of cap at Daily Joust - Play Now): Ike is back batting cleanup, you get the L/R matchup versus Brewers Yovani Gallardo who has a home ERA over five and has had trouble keeping the ball in the yard at Miller Park .

2B Aaron Hill DBacks ($8,350, 8.4% of cap Draft Day - Play Now): Price tag is creeping up, but still reasonable

1B/3B Juan Francisco Brewers ($7,616, 7.6% of cap at Draft Street - Play Now): Francisco has been a top-15 Fantasy Player over the last 14 days will be facing RHP Shaun Marcum in the more hitter friendly Miller Park. If Francisco is not 3B eligible then consider DBacks Martin Prado who is hitting .467 in last 15 at-bats.

SS Josh Rutledge Rockies ($8,350, 8.4% of cap Fan Duel - Play Now): Not a whole of stats to back this pick up, so I'll be straight with ya, it's a gut call.

C Carlos Ruiz Phillies ($76,000, 7.6% of cap at Daily Joust - Play Now): Ruiz is 8-for-36 (.222), which isn't very respectable, but he does have two home runs off of Tim Hudson in his career.

Teams to Stack: Rockies vs Wade Miley, DBacks vs Rockies Drew Pomeranz, Red Sox vs Angels Jerome Williams, Brewers vs Mets Shaun Marcum

Pichan's Pick: Pretty much like the over in every game except for the HOU @TEX, LAD @SFG, and CWS @TB. The over I like the most is the 8.5 in the Boston @LAA game and I also like the under in the CWS@TB game. Both picks are based on starting pitching matchups. Expect a pitchers duel between Chris Sale/Matt Moore and Stephen Fife/MadBum, and  the total opposite between Ryan Dempster and Jerome Williams
