(MR) Nate Jones (R)--Picked up his ninth hold of the season Saturday despite surrendering two runs on two hits and one walk in the eighth inning. Jones has now pitched three consecutive days, and has been struggling as of late, so a day off on Sunday in likely. 19 PC-11 ST (8/17/13)Cleveland Indians(CL) Solid Chris Perez (R)--Picked up the win on Wednesday despite being charged with his fourth blown-save after allowing one run on two hits in two innings of relief. (SU) Joe Smith (R)--Earned his 18th hold of the season Saturday after pitching a scoreless eighth inning allowing two hits while striking out one batter on 14 pitches thrown. (MR) Marc Rzepczynski (L)--Pitched two innings of scoreless relief on Monday night allowing two walks while striking out two batters on 38 pitches thrown. Considering how much he has been used over the last week, expect the Indians to give him the day off on Tuesday. 38 PC-21 ST (8/12/13)Detroit Tigers(CL) Solid Joaquin Benoit (R)âWas used in a non-save situation on Sunday allowing one run on two hits in the ninth inning. (CL) Committee Chia-Jen Lo (R)--Pitched a scoreless ninth inning on Friday night in a non-save situation allowing one hit on 18 pitches thrown. Lo remains perfect since being recalled from Triple A and should remain in the chase to earn save chances for the remainder of the season. 18 PC-15 ST (8/16/13)
(CL) Committee Kevin Chapman (L)--Earned his first save of the season Sunday after recording the final two outs of the ninth inning. Chapman will likely find himself in the mix for saves with both Josh Fields and Chia-Jen Lo for the remainder of the season, giving him a little fantasy value moving forward. 4 PC-2 ST (8/18/13)Kansas City Royals(CL) Elite Greg Holland (R)âRecorded his 33rd and 34th saves on Friday after pitching in both ends of the team's doubleheader.
