  • How can Michael compare Brandon Morrow to Stephen Strasburg?
W       L       K           ERA        WHIP Strasburg        15       6      197        3.16          1.15 Morrow           10      7        108      2.96          1.11 It's less about Morrow vs Strasburg as it is Strasburg in the first or second round of your draft versus (insert pitcher of choice here) later in draft. The main point, even if you disagree with the Morrow/Strasburg comp (which probably wasn't the best example), is that I'm confident I can find pitchers later in the draft that will provide similar Fantasy production, and at a much greater discount.
    1. Recent moves and their Fantasy ImpactAdam LaRoche resigns with the Nationals-Career first half .247 and .293. Last year LaRoche hit .269 with an .871 OPS in the 1st half and for the second half of the season he batted .274  with an .836 OPS
    2. The Nats also sign relief pitcher Rafael Soriano-Soriano is 33 yrs old as has experienced a drop in velocity ea. of last 3 seasons now down to 92.3, that's Rick Porcello range. To me it says more about Nats faith, or lack of, in Drew Storen's health possibly.
    3. Lance Berkman sign with Texas Rangers (Profar & Olt to the minors)
    4. Javy Vazquez scouted by the Nationals- Bretsky rekindles an old love affair.
ADP Debate: Bretsky and the Nomad debate the value of a few players, and whether they recommend you target them on Draft Day.
  1. Buster Posey as a first or second round pick
  2. Yovani Gallardo in the eight round or later (Yodeling in the Valley of Value to me. Bretsky, on the other hand, sees it as he's falling down into it face first.)
  3. Brandon Morrow vs Matt Moore: Pichan continues to pontificate for Morrow as Bretsky chooses to side with Matt Moore.
Saber Stat of the Show Bretsky talks about strikeout to walk ratio (K/BB) and which players in last seasons top ten to twenty that could provide some value on Draft Day. Pichan highlights a few hitters who had a very high Batting Average on Balls In Play (BABIP) last season, and whether that indicates some regression in 2013.
