🔥 Red Sox vs. Cardinals Predictions for MLB on FOX, 4/11
If you were able to follow and tail our MLB best bets today for this series opener, then you were able to cash the under 7.5 runs with us. That’s a good start to the weekend, but there’s never time to relax when it comes to locking in more MLB expert picks, so let’s do just that with our Red Sox vs. Cardinals predictions.
Despite not entering the season with high expectations, St. Louis has now won three straight games. Meanwhile, Boston’s lost six straight road games, and they’ll look to end that streak with Ranger Suarez taking the mound. It’s his first year with the Red Sox after eight years in Philly, and he hasn’t exactly impressed his new team as of yet.
As for the Cards, we saw them on Sunday Night Baseball last weekend, and we mention that because they’re going to have the starter from that game back on the mound for Red Sox vs. Cardinals predictions today - Kyle Leahy. While we don’t exactly have a battle of aces on the mound, there’s always a way to find value in the markets!
🏅 Red Sox vs. Cardinals Best Bet: Ranger Suarez Over 2.5 Earned Runs Allowed (+127 at Novig)
We say that Suarez hasn’t impressed Boston yet, as they’ve lost each of his first two starts with him failing to go beyond 4.1 innings pitched. As a lefty, he also doesn’t have the best matchup today, as St. Louis surprisingly has the fourth-best OPS vs. southpaws this season.
While it’s certainly a small sample size right now, it’s still worth considering in terms of locking in any Red Sox vs. Cardinals predictions. Given what we saw in the series opener, some ballpark factors today and more, it’s tempting to consider another under, but with Leahy being the other starter, it’s still not the most valuable play in our opinion.
Instead, there are few plus-money markets regarding Suarez for value across the board. The under 15.5 outs is at +125, which has hit in each of his first two outings. Similarly, over 5.5 hits allowed have also cashed, so that could also be part of your Red Sox vs. Cardinals picks with St. Louis hitting lefties well so far.
The outs prop is tempting, and the Cards had eight hits last night, but we’re still going to go with ANOTHER plus-money play with earned runs allowed; Suarez has allowed four ER in each of his first two starts. Consider all three leans, but we’ll lock in Ranger Suarez over 2.5 ER allowed (+127 at Novig) as the best bet from our Red Sox vs. Cardinals predictions.

⚾ Red Sox vs. Cardinals Injury Report & Starting Pitchers
It’s still early in the season, and these are two of the healthier teams right now. St. Louis is as close to spotless as it gets other than the long-term injury to Lars Nootbaar and the day-to-day status of Masyn Winn after the HBP last night. As for Red Sox vs. Cardinals injuries in Boston, there is little to discuss there as well.
They have their own long-term issue with Tanner Houck, and the other most notable would be Justin Slaten and Patrick Sandoval, both of whom are on the 15-day IL. You can monitor more than just Red Sox vs. Cardinals injuries as well with our Fantasy Alarm MLB injury report!
- Boston Red Sox starting pitcher today: Ranger Suarez (0-1, 8.64 ERA)
- St. Louis Cardinals starting pitcher today: Kyle Leahy (1-1, 5.40 ERA)
