Milwaukee Brewers vs. Colorado Rockies Predictions: Sunday, June 7th
This series is wrapping up today as Colorado and Milwaukee square off for the series finale. The Brewers took the opening pair of games in convincing fashion and will look for the sweep this afternoon! It's Kyle Freeland on the mound for the Rockies against the Brewers' Shane Drohan; let's get into the picks.
The first wager is a full fade of Freeland, who has put together a horrible season to this point. His ERA of 8.06 is one of the worst in baseball among pitchers over 45 innings and his splits against both the right and left side of the plate are legendarily bad. Over his last five starts, he has allowed a batting average of .376 with 41 hits against and nine home runs. On the flip side, The Brewers' offense have scored at least seven runs in each of their last three games. It's hard to see this game being close given those numbers, so I will be taking the Brewers on the run line tonight.
On top of a Brewers win, let me add a prop to fade Freeland even more. Jackson Chourio is the name I like the most as he's hit decent against the south paws this season, but more so because he's hitting .348 with a 1.140 OPS over the past seven games. When you're hot you're hot, and I like him to surpass his hits/runs/RBIs prop this afternoon.
- Expert MLB Picks
- Jackson Chourio (MIL) Over 2.5 Hits/Runs/RBIs (-155 on DraftKings Sportsbook)
- Brewers Run Line -1.5 (-115 on FanDuel Sportsbook)
Athletics vs. Houston Astros Predictions: Sunday, June 7th
A finale of a series between AL West rivals is set to commence today as the Athletics take on the Astros. The matchup of Mike Burrows on the bump against this A's offense is an interesting one so let's go ahead and dive in!
Burrows has had a tough debut season in Houston to say the least with his 5.66 ERA and .292 opposing batting average. He has also given up 15 home runs in 68.1 innings pitched with 26 walks. His real issue is against lefty hitting though, as they are hitting .329 and a 1.009 OPS against him. That's good news for a player like Nick Kurtz, who is hitting .291 with a .991 OPS against right handed pitching this season. Kurtz has struggled a bit in June so far, but its a small sample size and the matchup is perfect for him to make a splash. Let's take the over on his hits/runs/RBIs prop this afternoon and watch him slug it around the bases.
- Expert MLB Picks
- Nick Kurtz (ATH) Over 1.5 Hits/Runs/RBIs (-125 on DraftKings Sportsbook)
Best MLB Player Prop Bets & Other Picks Today, 6/7
- Royals Money Line (-110 on FanDuel Sportsbook)
- Corbin Carroll (ARI) Over 1.5 Hits/Runs/RBIs (-125 on DraftKings Sportsbook)
