Houston Astros vs. Kansas City Royals Predictions: Saturday, June 13th

This weekend series hits Kansas City this weekend as the Astros try for another road win after winning Friday night. Could be an uphill task for them with Mike Burrows on the bump but the Royals aren't exactly stacking up wins either!

Mike Burrows has been bad, to put it simply. He has an ERA of 5.77 and 1.57 WHIP on the season and the numbers haven't been getting better as evidence by his 8.1 ERA in his pair of starts this month. I should also mention that in day games he is allowing a batting average of .299 and 41 hits over 32.1 innings pitched. Those kind of numbers open the door for the Royals bats and one Jac Caglianone has my attention. Jac has hit .500 over the past 5 games with 16 total bases, five runs and four RBIs during that span. The man is white hot and a lefty, a side of the plate Burrows is allowing an OPS of .992 on the season. Over on hits/runs/RBIs is must on the betting card for me tonight for the young Royal.

St. Louis Cardinals vs. Minnesota Twins Predictions: Saturday, June 13th

Here we go for the second game of the this interleague matchup between the Cardinals and Twins! Minnesota took the first game in a shootout that featured 17 total runs, and I like the prospects for offense again today.

Connor Prielipp will take the mound for the Twins today and he's had a tough go of things dating back to early May. Over his last six starts he's given up 21 earned runs and 35 hits over 34.1 innings pitched. He also relies on the strikeout far too much to get his outs and against a Cardinals team that has been around league average in K-rate that could be an issue for him. Jordan Walker is the name I like most in the red birds lineup today as he's hitting .321 with a .964 OPS over the past week and he loves some lefty pitching as well. His hits/runs/RBIs is suspiciously at 1.5 for this afternoon's tilt so I am going to go ahead and place that wager and thank the sportsbooks for their mistake.

In addition to the prop we have Matthew Liberatore pitching for the Cardinals and his stuff has just never impressed me. His 4.48 ERA on the season is fine but he puts the ball into play far too often. The Twins could have a better team BABIP of .286 but they have their bats going well right now regardless. I think they score enough to keep up with the total tonight and I will be hammering that over of 9 runs.
