MLB Picks, Predictions & Best Bets Today, 9/8 Los Angeles Angels vs. Boston Red Sox Prediction: Tuesday, September 8th

As we've now reached the final few weeks of the baseball season some teams are just waiving the white flag and one of those squads are the Angels. Over the past couple of weeks they have the lowest isolated power mark in the league at .096 and their BABIP of .266 is well below average. They have lost eight of their last ten games and have scored just 13 runs over their last five games.

Those kind of numbers open up the betting market for the Red Sox tonight as they've been once again rolling with five straight wins and they remain a great home team. Patrick Sandoval will take the bump and he has taken his lumps lately with 17 earned runs allowed over the past 30 innings pitched but will get a Angels team that is horrible. Sandoval does also have 30 strikeouts in his last 30 innings and his prop sits 5.5 for this evening, that will be a must for me tonight. 

In addition to the prop I like the Red Sox and Angels to go under the total tonight as the visitors can't hit the ball right now and the Red Sox are going to have to face Reid Detmers and his live arm. Detmers over the past 37 innings has only allowed 6 earned runs and two homers so he's well locked in. Let's go ahead and rock the under on top of that strikeout prop.
