Los Angeles Angels vs. Milwaukee Brewers Predictions: Wednesday, September 17th

It’s game 2 in the series between the Brewers and Angels tonight, as the first game went to the home team thanks to the play of Freddy Peralta! Tonight, it's Brandon Woodruff against Jose Soriano in what should be a more balanced contest.

The initial wager to make is on Woodruff to go over on his strikeouts tonight, as he has 45 over his last 37.1 innings pitched, and he’s really been catching his full stride. The ERA is also down to 3.32 on the season, with the walks being mitigated, too, at just 11 during this hot streak of time. His K-prop sits at a whopping 7.5 tonight, which is a high number, but the Angels are striking out at a rate of 32.3% over the past 2 weeks, the most in MLB. I will take the gamble based on those stats and grab the Peralta strikeouts at plus money. 

The other wager to make on this game is the under, as Jose Soriano is a rock-solid pitcher who is on the bump for the Angels regardless of his last couple of shaky starts. He does allow hits, but the strikeout to walk ratio is great, and the Brewers have an isolated power mark of just .129 over the past 2 weeks, so they won’t threaten often. With these two arms against these offenses, I think they carry the day, so give me the under tonight.
