Yankees vs. Blue Jays Predictions

Time tonight for a matchup between two teams and pitchers that have had a great season thus far, and what should be a great game to sit back and watch. It's Max Fried vs. Chris Bassitt tonight, so let’s dive into our bets on it. 

The first wager will actually be fading Fried as he’s been getting beat up in the month of July thus far, with 10 earned runs allowed over the past 14 innings pitched, with 6 walks as well! The strikeouts have also been underwhelming as he has just 9 during that span and will play a Blue Jays team that has ranked best in strikeout rate since June 1st at 16.1%! With this being the case, I just can’t see Fried whiffing many bats today, so I will take the under on his 4.5 strikeouts tonight. 

In addition to that, I love the home team tonight as underdogs! The Blue Jays have been one of the league's best teams at home this season with a record of 36-17, and Chris Bassitt has been mowing down the competition over his last 4 starts, holding an ERA of 1.89 with just 22 hits allowed over 19 innings pitched. The Yankees' offense has only been middle of the pack the last couple of weeks as well, so give me the Blue Jays at home to get the win tonight.
