MLB Picks, Predictions & Best Bets Today, 7/2

Orioles vs. Rangers Predictions

This series is back in action today after the Rangers took the first game in a rout of the Orioles, 10-2. I don’t see things going better for the O’s today either as they’ll have to go toe to toe with Texas ace Nathan Eovaldi, who has allowed just 5 earned runs over his last 29.2 innings pitched dating back to the start of May! This will also be his 2nd start back after the injury, so I expect him to settle in against a Baltimore team that has struggled to score on the road and has a higher than average K-rate of 23.3%. 

This puts the Rangers' Money Line as the headline bet today as the team behind the ace has scored 28 runs over the last 5 games, and they are 25-19 at home on the season. They’ll get to use that recent power against Tomoyuki Sugano today, who’s been getting roughed up of late with a 6.2 ERA in the month of June and allowing 35 hits over the last 24.2 innings pitched. The Orioles, in addition, are a poor road team by record at 18-26, so Texas on the Money Line is the play. 

In addition to that, a batting prop has my eye today on the Texas side, and it's got to be Corey Seager with the way he’s swinging the bat right now! Over the past 7 days, Seager is rocking a .484 OBP and 1.302 OPS, and it doesn’t look like he will slow down against a pitcher like Sugano. Give me some Seager love tonight on his hits/runs/RBIs prop at 2.5 to go over in another good showing from him.
